hydrogen is a python script that creates high quality 3D orbital images.

About hydrogen[edit]

hydrogen calculates anlytic expressions for the hydrogen-wave-eigenfunctions of one electron. It renders ray-traced images and exports them as PNGs.

Code[edit]

The code can be executed after you expanded it with draw-commands at the end.

Requirements[edit]

hydrogen is a python script with included c-code to speed up the heavy computations. Hence you need the following programs on your computer:

Usage[edit]

Add a command which orbital to create at the end of the source code:

draw_orbital([n, l, m], density=heuristic_density(n,l,m))

The script can be executed then in the command line.
