I am a Professor of Law and Head of the Department of Law at the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. My main field of research interest is constitutional law (mainly aspects of the Crown, and ecclesiastical law. My work has been published in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, the Netherlands, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. I have presented conference papers in Australia, England, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the United States of America, and Wales, and been a Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge and The Australian National University. I have taught for a decade at the Auckland University of Technology, and am a barrister. One quasi-academic interest is academic dress and degrees - and I have a few of the latter myself, including LLB LLM MTheol MA PhD LTh and a Graduate Diploma in Tertiary Teaching. I am also a FRHistS.
