About me

I am travelling a lot on business. When visiting foreign countries I normally take only some pictures back home. In the meantime I have a collection of more than 50'000 of them. Since August 2009 I work with a Nikon D90 with Nikkor zooms 18 - 105 mm and since April 2011 also 70 - 300 mm. Since May 2008 I am geocoding, today with a Wintec WBT-202, which has a fantastic accuracy even under difficult conditions. I use "Time Machine X" to merge geodata and pictures and then add locations with Geosetter, a fantastic freeware. I am using Geosetter also to rename all my pictures to a format "Date/Time/Country/Location/Sublocation.jpg" before I upload them. Since August 2009 I take all my pictures in RAW-(NEF)-format. Format conversion and editing I do with Nikon Capture NX2. For my panorama pictures I am using Panorama Studio, which provides - in my opinion - the best results, even if the original shots are not aligned properly. This is important to me as I cannot always carry a tripod. If you should like a picture particularly, please do not hesitate to contact me for a full resolution version. I am pleased to share them.
