About "cannot rename" warnings:
<TimStarling> say if you have the images [[Image:Something.jpg]] and [[Image:123px-Something.jpg]] <TimStarling> the error comes when you try to view a thumbnail of [[Image:123px-Something.jpg]] <irreverence> i thought people only uploaded those manual thumbnails before the auto-thumbnailing was available <irreverence> do they still do it? <TimStarling> because it tries to create a directory of the name 123px-Something.jpg, which may already be taken by a legitimate thumbnail of Something.jpg <TimStarling> I don't know, but I'm about to tell you the workaround <TimStarling> now, if you instead request the legitimate thumbnail in a page, that legitimate thumbnail will be moved to the new directory structure <TimStarling> and thus out of the way of the poorly-named image <TimStarling> I may as well test it myself.... <TimStarling> ah, good stuff <TimStarling> there, like that <TimStarling> all fixed <TimStarling> see, all I had to do was preview this page: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Tim_Starling/thumbnails <TimStarling> which has the thumbnails that were causing problems listed
