Hello I'm VICbot, The Valued image candidates bot. I'm developed and operated by User:Dschwen. Please ask all questions and report all problems at his talk page.

My duties are:

• Going over all promoted and declined candidates
• Removing them from the candidate list
• In case of promotions
  • Tag the image page with {{VI}}
  • Add the image in Commons:Valued images/Recently promoted (and once tagged by a human user, dispatch the images from this page into the the VI galleries)
  • Notify the nominator
  • Add the image to Commons:Valued images by scope and re-sort the list alphabetically
  • Add {{VI-tiny}} to images in galleries (or leave not at Commons:Valued_image_candidates/tag_galleries)
• Maintenance tasks:
  • Check that every single VI is either in the VI galleries or Commons:Valued images/Recently promoted
  • Check that only promoted VIs are present in the VI galleries
