Xof711 is the acronym behind famous French photographer Christophe Michot (born May 26, 1973). He has a long experience in the field of traditional and digital photography and his photography is dedicated to extreme sports/Action and Photojournalism. Some of his favorite sports include snowboarding, skydiving, kitesurfing and BASE jumping.

From 2002 to 2005 he was the official photographer of the Kiteboard Pro World Tour (KPWT) and helped promote kite-surfing across the world. He became famous for his "close to the action" signature shots. he gets these unique shots by being very close to the action and in order to do so, often takes part of the action to get the best shot. Even when this means jumping of a 1.000 meter (3,000 feet) cliff or from a skyscraper.

In 2005 he sustained a knee injury during a BASE jump bogey in Norway and had to go through extensive knee surgery to have his kneecap reconstructed. He is still active but promised his wife that he will put on hold the most dangerous sports when they found out they were expecting a baby. He will resume his activities in the future and will continue to shoot from as close to the action as possible.

His work has been published in numerous magazines around the world like Trends Tendance, Cash, Kiteboarder, Kitesurfing Mag, Paramag, DagBlad, The Age and Outside.
