could you explain why you consider your uploads have to be deleted. It's not own work or free work? some details can help to make correctly the deletion.

Hello, Oxam Hartog. They are my handworks. But, I made them in inappropriate procedure without awareness. I've traced over images under copyright. One user point out it, and give me a caution. Hm. I don't know if they're really copyvios. What is protected in maps is mostly the design, not the data concerning the streams, borders etc. (at least according to German law). So if your maps took the principal data from another source, but then changed the appearance of the maps, they would not be copyvios. But one would really have to see the original images you worked with to tell. Are they online somewhere? Regards --Rosenzweig δ 09:00, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

PS: Frankly, the kind of maps we're talking about aren't very sophisticated. All you have are several specifically shaped grey or red areas separated by white lines, some blue streams now and then. And that is it, there is nothing else, no shapes indicating villages, no roads, no signs, nothing. Since this isn't high art like Malevich or so, I sincerely doubt if such basic maps can be protected by copyright at all. I'm not quite sure about Commons, but I'm confident the German wikipedia won't have a problem with them (will ask there later to be sure), so if they really should get deleted here, I'll try to get someone to duplicate them to de.wp as an interim measure until proper replacement maps can be made. I reverted your edits. Speedy deletion is no appropriate way for this case and nobody would delete this file without prior discussion. As a side effect, working with the speedy deletion category is impossible after such actions. Hello Qbay, I looked at that page and I still do not think you actually violated any copyrights with your maps. If you, however, want to go ahead with a deletion request to get a decision, the page Commons:Deletion requests/Mass deletion request explains how to do this for multiple files at once. Hello Rosenzweig. I don't know much about copyright. I don't know if my files are really violated copyrights. When I received a caution, I simply felt the suspicious ones should be deleted. But, now, I think it must be discussed.
