Hi, you put several of the images I uploaded under review. I got permission from each of the authors of the images to be able to use it under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, which they agreed to. All of their permissions can be found on the talk page of the images. Am I doing something incorrectly, or should I be asking them to release it under a creative commons license instead? If you could please explain what exactly I should ask the authors for, I could hopefully start avoiding this. Thanks for your time. --Nehrams2020 19:11, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

sorry, I hadn't noticed that you put the permissions on the talk pages! I just saw that you uploaded images from flickr without the review tamplate. Maybe you can send the permissions to permissions@wikimedia.org, too, to be sure that the images won't be deleted.

I included in the template that permissions are on the talk page, should I move the permissions to the image page itself? That way, any other editors would immediately see it. Also, do you think that I should continue to be asking for the GFDL license or switch to the creative commons? If you could, please explain the difference between the two. No, I don't think it's necessary to move the permissions to the image pages. Not every editor is as blind as I was ;-)
Both GFDL and CC are licences that can be used on the Commons. You can read about them here and here.

Hey, you tagged one of my photos as a copyright violation, but it's not. This photo was taken by me a few years back. You may think it's a copyright violation because it's on the Schule Schloss Salem website, but that's because I let them use it.

Dear user, I noticed that you use the includePage function in your monobook.js page.

This function is now obsolete, as the importScript function was introduced with rev:35064 to the MediaWiki Javascript core library wikibits.js. It also keeps track of already imported files.

Hallo, ich habe soeben ein eigenenes Foto der BMW Welt gelöscht. Das Bild hat keine gute Qualität und zeigt den Bau in der Bauphase, teilweise fehlen noch Platten. Das Foto wurde wieder aktiviert. Ich möchte, dass es dauerhaft gelöscht wird und nicht bei Wikipedia erscheint. Heinz Theuerkauf

Hallo, ein Foto, das mit einer korrekten Lizenz hochgeladen wurde und dem Projektrahmen entspricht, ist schwer zu löschen. Du scheinst es unter einer Creative-Commons-Lizenz bei Flickr hochgeladen zu haben, was auch zur Verwendung hier berechtigt. Dass noch Platten am Gebäude fehlen ist kein Argument für eine Löschung, im Gegenteil, das dokumentiert die Bauphase. Du kannst Dich aber gerne mit Deiner Bitte an einen Admin wenden. I would like to send you this message with some information about me and the lecture we are making. At this moment we are making an educational book for kids between 12 and 18 years old. Lower and middle level in ROC (Regionale Opleidings Centra, skools) This book is called “Total Automotive”. Nijgh Verslys will distribute these books over the ROC’s in the Netherlands. For this I’m always looking for nice high resolution illustrations. On this wikipedia website I found a clear illustation of a ZF differential.

I would like to use this illustration for these books. Maybee I would be possible to get some more high resolution illustrations of the ZF differential.
