- Sorry - to be more helpful look here. The section heading has "lost" the info on the image name. After reverting your edit it is now ok again (see here).

I delted the page, because it was a redirect to Template:GFDL/layout. Because {{GFDL}} and {{GFDL-1.2}} is not the same I deleted this page for now so that there is no confusion about GFDL 1.2 or any later version and GFDL 1.2 only. I just want to notify you, because you've created the page.

J'avoue que je ne m'étais pas posé la question. en:Template:iw existait déjà, donc je ne pensais pas prendre de risque. Ce code n'est attribué à aucune langue dans w:ISO 639 (apparemment, c'est l'ancien code de l'Hébreu, mais on utilise maintenant he). Je vais demander d'autres avis sur la Village Pump. [edit] Copyright violation at french wikipedia
I recentl knew about this file uploaded locally at french wikipedia, because it was tried to be moved here. It mentions a source that mentions a copyright notice at the bottom, so the image is a copyvio at both projects. I marked it as such here, but I don't know french so I don't know how to mark that image as a copyvio or to find and talk to local administrators. I have chosen you from the list of administrators by status at other projects, where I noticed you are administrator there as well. Could you delete that file? - All the message templates should be subst'ed because this forces a new section to be created on the user talk page where the template is added, making it easier for the user to reply on the right place. This also is intended to harmonize the usage of all the message templates :)

Hi, I see you're working on the UserMessages gadget. Could you, by chance, integrate this template in it, if it is properly internationalized/harmonized/whatever? I use it a lot and everytime I must add, by hand, {{subst:no fair use|File:filename.jpg}}--~~~~ to the talk page (it generates a header). I have a new task for you, being administrator of the french wikipedia. The image File:Blason-Alsace.jpg says it comes from that project, but there's no information on the specific user that created it, or the date. I asume that file was this one, with the same name, because there is a deleted image in the registry that was deleted for being available here on Commons. It would be needed to check the user and date and fill them in the image here, so it has correct source information. I have also placed the code for the correct licence tag for helping, you just need to fill the username and remove the "nowiki" and the current obsolete tag

- Hi, it appears that the uploader of the first image on French Wikipedia is no longer active since september 2008 and did not provide author and date information about the coat of arms. He even did not specify if he was himself the author of this image. Then I think the deletion of the two images (both on Commons and on WP:fr) was inevitable...

Hi, please remember to put the <noinclude> tag on the last line of the templates code. For example:

This has been causing many issues with user message templates. By adding an unnecessary carriage return to the template it causes anything after the template (i.e. the signature) to be preformatted (same as putting it in <pre> tags). Don't ask me why, but it does. Also, you should only add a {{must be substituted}} for templates that really must be substituted in order to work correctly. User templates should be (that's why I made {{should be substituted}}), but now that they are autotranslated, it defeats the whole purpose (which was to stop the text from changing after you say it - and update to the template shouldn't change someone else's words). - About the "must be substituted"/"should...": I think that all the message templates that create a new section on a talk page must really be subst'ed in order to create the new section. For the others, you're right, there's no need to be substed and I'll remove the "must..." message on the template pages.

- When message templates are autotranslated, they do not need any more to be substed if they do not create a new section on the user page. This is because even if you substitute them, you'll just get the autotranslation template call instead, which do not ensure you that the wording of the template won't change in the future.
- Your message make me think that I should document this on Commons:Template_i18n/User_templates too.

I see you've had some interaction with User:Brestois029200. My French is poor, or I'd take this on myself. It seems very unlikely to me that File:Carte-bellevue.JPG is, as claimed, his own work; I have my doubts about File:Photokerbernier.jpg and File:ChantierB2.jpg as well. All of these look like poor reproductions of very professional work, an unlikely situation for uploading one's own work. Could I prevail upon you to follow up? - The first message I sent to User:Brestois029200 was about the previous warnings that were left to him by various contributors. I tried to explain him which kind of material he was able to ulpoad here, and how to provide us with the needed authorizations. Unfortunately, he didn't answer to me... I'll drop him a reminder, but I think that you already should tag the images as propable copyvios. If he doesn't move before the end of the month, we'll then delete the images.

Je suis PHILTHEGUNNER60 sur WIKIPEDIA- J'ai été banni par Darkoneko ( cfr ma page utilisateur pour les motifs : un A majuscule dans un titre ( authentique ! ). Tout contributeur suspendu a droit en principe à l'accès à sa page disc pour défendre son pt de vue vs les admin. Moi pas ! Et comme par hasard, les admin impliqués ds l'affaire sont injoignables par mail ! Donc je vous prie de bien vouloir faire passer le message à MM Darkoneko, TigH, Moez et consorts : j'ai une autre adresse mail donc ou on restaure mon accès à ma page discussion ou .... il pourrait bien y avoir un avatar PHILTHEGUNNER61 sous peu ! Ce n'est plus du vandalisme wikipédien ça, c'est de la criminalité de droit commun donc .. je vais évidement montrer tout cela à la police et demander conseil quant à la possibilité d'une plainte ( provisoirement contre X ensuite ... ). S'il s'avère que a resp civile ou pénale de wiki foundation doit être mises en cause .... ( il semble qu'elle cautionne ce genre de comportement puisque mes plaintes pour vandalisme et insulte auprès des admin sont restées sans suite)
- 5 bien entendu, des liens entre ces pages et des forums antiwik ont été établis : il y a maintenant un reality-show façon Koh-lanta "la vie des wikiadmin" sur le net ( les coulisses de la Guépéou comme si vous y étiez )- fascinante étude anthropologique plus passionnante qu'une expo coloniale avec ses indécentes expositions d'indigènes! Plus besoin que ces gens-là fassent de la propagande anti-wik : ces gens-ci la font eux-mêmes ! Trop MdR !

The reason behind deleting this photos are wrong titles of the image files. The names of uploaded files are wrong and the main reason is mislabelling of them, which may cause confusion to polish guests visiting the site. However, I'm also not satisfied with the overall look of the framing and lighting and unfortunatly i'm not able to take any better pics of presented objects and recreate that precised shots. I would be very grateful for removing them enterly from the album.

[edit] Template Occupation and CountryAdjective translation
Hello AlNo, I see that you are engaged in template translation. Could you also translate the templates {{Occupation}} and {{CountryAdjective}} into French? This would be great! The two templates are very useful, they are used (through other templates: {{NationAndOccupation}} and {{BioGalleryInfo}}) for the automatic translation of descriptive phrases in {{Creator}} templates and on gallery pages. They will become even more useful if we get more translations.
If you can translate the templates you may want to take a look at the Spanish versions {{Occupation/es}} and {{CountryAdjective/es}} which already contain the code necessary for the difference between masculine and feminine forms of occupation names and country adjectives; so the Spanish versions may be some kind of help for the French translation, too.
Both templates are rather long, especially {{CountryAdjective}}. But it would be a great help even if you could translate just the most common entries. Thank you very much, --Aristeas (talk) 18:13, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
