In Image:Escudo de Mozota.svg the two red squares are fully interlaced, but in Image:Bandera de Mozota.svg the two red ribbons are not interlinked at all. Is this difference intentional? AnonMoos 16:49, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering whether you would mind using the standard license {{GFDL-user|Anuskafm}} instead of Template:Creado por Anuskafm. Per Commons:User-specific galleries, templates and categories policy we're trying to minimise the use of personal license templates. Hey there, I've noticed your work on heraldy and I was wondering if you are willing to make a coat of arms to be used on Wikipedia. The COA in question is the one of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. Thanks for uploading Image:ACDF oblique annotated english.svg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multilicense GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. I was going to support this image but it failed horribly at the validator. So, I spent some minutes and cleaned up the xml. I don't think that I changed the drawing, I just tore out most of the inkscape stuff (the validator doesn't recognize inkscape nor sodipodi's dtd). It reduced the file size by 2/3rds!

Since then, someone else is making suggestions on the talk page.

It is a beautiful image, btw. I can't support it now because I have edited it -- but surely someone will. -- carol 15:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Commons images are used by editors on many projects in many languages. Each image is put into categories. This helps other editors find them. Please add categories to each image you upload.

To add an image to a category, add the following code to the end of the page.

[[Category:Category Name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbit of comets, add the following to the image description page:

[[Category:Astronomy diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories: Astronomy diagrams, Comets.

For further information on categories read Commons:Categories.

The CommonSense Tool often helps you find the best category for your image.
