[edit] Image:El Hierro Sabinar.JPG

Very nice pic! You might be interested to know it is Phoenicean Juniper (Juniperus phoenicea); I have moved it to that page - MPF 26 June 2005 22:15 (UTC)

[edit] On English names

Having spent some time on that little bird's picture enhancing, I felt too lazy to look it up in the dictionary. The remark was meant to be one of my slippery jokes towards my German friends, btw. Thanks, seriously. Bye, —Annie IP 08:08, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Lesothoarms22.PNG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Just for information of those reading this page: I don't have any further copyright information other than the PD tag the image had on the English Wikipedia. Now it looks like the user who uploaded this to the English WP has had a couple of images deleted there due to lack of source information. Hence, with experience gained I guess that it might be deleted unless someone has information to the opposite. -- Arcimboldo 14:13, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bulgaria

Hey :) Do you by any chance have any photos of the Bulgarian volleyball team from the World Championship in Japan? I'd like to include a picture in en:Bulgaria national volleyball team. And thanks for the photo coverage of the event! :) Martyr 13:29, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Big thanks! A suitable photo always improves an article considerably :) Martyr 13:04, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Qaboos.jpg

Image deletion warning Image:Qaboos.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file.
In all cases, please do not take the deletion request personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

[edit] Just popping in to say..

..vielen Dank für die wunderbaren WM-Bilder! Kiitos! --Lumijaguaari (моє обговорення) 04:39, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you! I'm pleased if they're appreciated, and I appreciate anyone who helps distributing them over the respective articles. -- Arcimboldo 15:28, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

I've been doing just that with the fi-wiki article on Osaka '07, and they really do liven up the championships articles that too often are just long lists of results. --Lumijaguaari (моє обговорення) 10:10, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jefferson Perez is Francisco Javier Fernández

Your image of Jefferson Perez shows silver medallist Francisco Javier Fernández from Spain (see medal and dress as well as other fotos of Pérez, e.g. here) Chigliak 10:16, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for any corrections, and sorry for the mistakes. I'm trying my best to be accurate, but with the number of pictures this can happen. -- Arcimboldo 15:26, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

No problem. And thanks for the images! Chigliak 18:57, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Osaka07 D5M James Beckford.jpg‎

Hi - you mentioned that Image:Osaka07 D5M James Beckford.jpg‎ is not James Beckford - any idea who it is? Deadstar 07:54, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi - it`s one of the American long jumpers I believe. If someone has time to compare pictures it might be relatively easy to verify which one. -- Arcimboldo 09:14, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
This is Dwight Phillips. You can upload the image under a new name and tag this image with {{bad name|Image:Correct_name.jpg}}. --Muchness 23:44, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Separation Header

Hi, i would like to use the image for our website at www.guinness.com.my but we couldnt put in the attribute on the page. Can we use the photo with just your permission? Please advise.

Hallo, I'd need more detail. Which picture? Actually, I would prefer some attribution - I don't mind though if it is just in the source code as comment (or as a "rollover" information) and not in the visible text. Cheers, -- Arcimboldo 13:09, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Photo of Sankeien

Hi. I just finished writing Wikipedia's article on Sankei-en in Yokohama and I noticed your photo (Sankeien near entrance.JPG), which I guarantee wasn't shot at the garden. I discovered using Google Earth that it was actually taken at the Shanghai Japan Friendship Garden, which is next to it. Could you correct its name? I changed its category so that it won't appear among the other photos. Urashimataro (talk) 07:59, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

Yes, it was taken at the entrance to Sankei-en. That's what had been suggested by the name. It's good to make the description more specific, but I'm not sure the name change is necessary. -- Arcimboldo (talk) 12:21, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

Thinking about it no, it probably isn't. Sorry for the false alarm. Thanks anyway. Urashimataro (talk) 01:46, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
