WARNING ABOUT FYROMIAN PROPAGANDA IN THE GREEK WIKICOMMONS PAGES[edit]

Well, this is Commons, not Wikipedia. You can tell it to a admin on el.wikipedia but I don't think that they will care or that they have to care. Even Commons is not cencored there is no propaganda as you claim that there is. The name of this country is "Macedonia" or "Republic of Macedonia". Because Commons is multilingual you'll find many different languages also the language of Macedonia.

You aren't allowed to vandalise some pages, only because you may read the article en:Macedonia naming dispute and because you think the pages content includes propaganda.

If you do this once more this will be counted as an act of vandalism for far-fetched reason. If you continue to vandalise you will get blocked.

Atlas of Greece languages[edit]

Hello! The convention I spoke of is written quite clearly at the very start of the Template:Atlas-country: "The introductions of the country, dependency and region entries are in the native languages and in English. The other introductions are in English." This applies to any and all countries in the atlas, as you can easily check. Since "Macedonian" is by no means a recognized language in Greece, nor is it or its variants spoken by a significant minority, its inclusion, esp. following such a disclaimer, would be misleading as to its status in Greece. Има една слика која е со англиски дијаграм (SVG) (еве ја тука) и ја имам преведено и сега ќе ја подигнам македонската верзија (се работи за три реда) и би сакал да ја заменам за употреба на мк вики. Претпоставувам дека не е проблем да се постави таа варијанта наместо англиската. Сепак самата слика е иста, значи критериумот и причината заради која е избрана сликата се запазени, туку само описот на три места ќе биде на македонски. 2010.01 (јануари)[edit]

Еве ги одбраните слики за јануари 2010. Овој пат ги преведов благовремено, бидејќи доаѓаат празници и прослави, па се плашев дека ќе се нема доволно време за да се ставаат во последен момент. Што се однесува до медиите, гледам дека нема никакви врски и индикации за следната година. Се изнамачив од буричкање, и не успеав да сфатам каде ги чуваат медиите од идните и претходните години. Како што гледаш, именските простори се насловени само со месец/ден, и нема години и сл. како кај одбраните слики. Како и да е, по сè изгледа дека треба да се почека за да ги стават новите во истиот формат. А кога, не знам, бидејќи по оваа логика тоа треба да биде дури на 1 јануари. Fact is, your country (FYROM) steal the history (the greek name macedonia, greek macedonian heritage....) from my country (Greece). And many many people from your country (among emigrant communities worldwide) make propaganda in wikipedia against to my country and his history. I'm a regular viewer of this.

My country don't accept the name macedonian from the slavic language/bulgarian dialect of your country, why this name is only one und it's greek. Your slavic language/dialect is Bulgarian, but written on Serbian typewriter.

And don't you forget it!

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:

Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like.
