You accuse me of uploading images that are copyright violations, regarding spanish teams´ american football helmets. I must say I had drawn the images myself and didn´t take them from anybody. Regarding the logos included in the helmets, none of those teams has registered them a trademarks, as far as I know. Therefore, I don´t think there was anything wrong with them, but it´s all right if you decide otherways and won´t draw and upload anymore of them.--Banderas (talk) 15:45, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello :) As you were the one who marked my images for deletion in the first place, I decided to come to you... I made a decision to replace those images (concerning Aquashow) with other ones which were shot by me. Hum, well - call it a sixth sense but other than obvious Commons work most of the rest of my time is spent dealing with cross wiki link placement. Equally I try not to judge what non en wikis may think is good/bad etc. However given "opening hours" & "admission prices" on the page (my pt is not that bad :)) I'm going for the fact it is worth getting another opinion? [edit] Basketball jerseys copyright violations

Hello! Recently you had marked two images that I had photographed and uploaded to WikiCommons as "copyright violation". I could see how you arrived to that conclusion due to the fact that the team's copyrighted logos are featured in the photograph. However the logos are only on the front side of the jersey. Therefore, could the photographs be considered as acceptable free images if I were to remove the current pictures and replace them with only the reverse side of the jersey? PDF has always seemed highly proprietary to me. What's up with [1]? Also, have you noticed that our ugh ... video format is almost impossible to use? Hi. I noticed you added a "fair use" tag to Image:001instantthisbillboard.jpg, which on Commons automatically puts it up for speedy deletion. Perhaps you're right, but I'd suggest you list it at Commons:Deletion requests. Hello. Re Image:JohnMcCainXavier08HowieluvzusFrontA.jpg, I disagree that including "Category:United States presidential election, 2008" was "overcategorized". I presume you mean because image is already in category:John McCain, who in turn is listed as a 2008 candidate. IMO, it is not redundant because it is an actual image from the 2008 campaign, whereas many images of McCain are completely unconnected with it and some taken decades seperated from the event. Exactly. Any individual could be a purebred species collected in the wild, a hybrid descended from two wild species that were planted next to each other years ago, or a long-forgotten cultivar from a long-forgotten nursery. Agaves are especially troublesome this way - there have been "species" identified on the basis of plants that have been grown in Europe for a century or more, where the cold and wet makes them deformed, and people who go back to the reputed collection sites in Mexico don't find anything like them in habitat. Your report that the numbers in the title of the image eventually make it into search results made me feel kind of warm and nice inside, as if my beliefs in software functioning correctly was being restored.

So warm and nice inside that I hesitate to try this myself in the case that I become disappointed by it not actually working as reported.

Pissing people off seems to be a reason and motivation to do things here -- and that is the reason I asked you that weird question at the bored administrators chat page. Not literally peeing on people but angering people who actually care about their work or what this wiki should be doing. I have not found a way to make this cease and additionally, I cannot work on or learn something that I do not care about.

I have been told now that speaking politely or (not caring about what I did) would have been rewarded with possible employment opportunities now for the last five or six years. It is a standard to measure people with that should have failed years/decades ago if the species were moving forward. In a real life application, it is as if vandals who were stripping a car or destroying someones home or trashing the enclosure to a persons business were encouraged to do this with extreme politeness and this is what matters.

I have no recommendation to you for how to make this stop. I can only recommend that you remain loyal to whatever ideals that made you care about your contribution here. Five or six years later I still have my dignity in my own mind and to the best of my memory, I was never part of a group who while communicating with a polite language destroyed the works of anyone who cared about something. Hi BrokenSphere! I have seen that you uploaded pictures of a lizard that you named Zonosaurus madagascariensis. Are you sure that it shows the right thing? If you look at the category, you will see two other pictures showing that species and you will notice that they look totally different. Hi,

This lizard at the California Academy of Sciences was described as the Madagascar Plated Lizard and as Zonosaurus sp. I was also puzzled when the pics of the lizard in the category looked totally different from what I saw, but decided to categorize them as such per the en Wikipedia entry. Do you know or think that it's possible that this lizard may look different depending on what habitat it has per that article, or would they all tend to look somewhat the same? If you have suggestions for better categorization, by all means let me know! Hi BrokenSphere! Honestly, no clue what it is. I checked the literature of Malagasy Gerrhosaurids and didn't find anything that looks like "your lizard". Zonosaurus you can recognise on a lateral longitudinal fold, that reaches from the head to the forelimb and continues all along the body. I can't see that on your picture but this may be due to the displayed details and picture resolution and sharpness. The second Malagasy genus of the Gerrhosaurids (Tracheloptychus) has the same fold but it ends at the forelimb. Hi. Why did you remove the "Males with microphones" category from a couple of images? Obama is a male and he is shown with a microphone.
