Estland - Estonia[edit]

German Titles[edit]

Hello, for the sake of semantic i beg you for using English titles in future pictures. Of course you add many english descriptions to the image pages, but that doesn't compensate a title which isn't understood by a majority of WikiMedia-Project Authors. Thanks for reading. --DustyDingo 20:16, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

This message was added automatically by Filbot, if you need some help about it, ask its master or go to the Commons:Help desk. --Filnik 19:11, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

sorry, forgot the license tag, but added it now. cheers 21:27, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Red Panda Photo[edit]

Hi, I'm looking to get permission to use your photo of a red panda holding some bamboo in a book I am writing. If you could email me or post on my user page whether or not you are interested, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mattheweg (talk • contribs) Brunswyk (talk) 15:21, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi, feel free to use my picture under the GNU-licence agreement provided by Wikipedia. Brunswyk (talk) 15:24, 10 February 2009 (UTC) P.S.: You're not German by any chance?
: No, I'm not German, but I have a German last name. Unfortunately, that License does not provide enough cover for my publisher to accept it. I also need the highest resolution version of the photo you have if I am going to use it. I can pay you a small amount for your trouble. Please email me and let me know if this can happen. Thanks again!
Sorry, I do not have any other version than this one. Brunswyk (talk) 12:04, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Braunschweig Liberei vor 1944 H XVI B I 2c (Stadtarchiv Braunschweig).JPG. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the OTRS system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. Thank you.
