Hello, I am writing in response to the email notification regarding the violation of the rights to the logo used in IV LO entry. I would like to confirm that I am the author of the school logo used both on the facebook website http://www.facebook.com/pages/4LO/176947745693389 and in the Wikipedia entry that has been recently created by me. Should I obtain a confirmation from the school to make sure the entry is not deleted ? Or maybe there is some other way to confirm that I have actually made it ? I am quite new at this and this is my first Wiki entry, therefore I would like to do it by the book. Looking forward to hearing from you Thank you for your help

Moving nsd template [edit]

Dear user, I appreciate your contributions to the Commons, please do not move the nsd or other licensing problem tags to the bottom, they should be on top of page and noticeable for everyone, so users could understand and solve the issue or stop from using it somewhere else before problem is solved, regards.   ■ MMXX  talk  13:54, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Category:Muammar al-Gaddafi [edit]

Please stop reverting Category:Muammar al-Gaddafi. This alternate ways of spelling are necessary for the search of folks that spell the name in a different way. As you can see on the interwiki's, there are many ways. --Foroa (talk) 09:40, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Cat modifications [edit]

I think you better stop doing useless category changes. Silesia is a region in Europe.

Unless you are very familiar with the various complex combined category systems as Category:Musical instruments classification, you better don't change them. It took many days of experts to get those categories stable. --Foroa (talk) 05:42, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

w: [edit]

Hello. Why change en: to w:? If it’s to make it clearer in code that it is a link to Wikipedia, there is a better way: {{w}}. For example:

Voting templates at FPC [edit]

Hi Cathy,

I changed two of you voting templates at FPC, cf the recognised voting templates. You can express a nuance to your vote using an optional parameter in the voting templates. I.e., {{Support|Weak support}} gives Symbol support vote.svg Weak support, and {{Support|Strong Support}} gives Symbol support vote.svg Strong support. --Slaunger (talk) 18:27, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Your participating in voting [edit]

Dear Cathy,

I can see that you participated in the featured picture voting on Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Steinway & Sons concert grand piano, model D-274, manufactured at Steinway's factory in Hamburg, Germany.png. Fortunately, this beautiful picture became a featured picture because many persons participated in the voting period. The rules says that there has to be at least 7 supporting votes and a ratio of supporting/opposing votes at least 2/1 (a two-thirds majority).[1]

Therfore, I would kindly ask you if you would like to give your vote in this similar voting Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Steinway & Sons upright piano, model K-132, manufactured at Steinway's factory in Hamburg, Germany.png before it ends on 9 May 2012 at 01:58:26 (UTC).

Thanks!

Yours sincerely, --Hereiamfriends (talk) 15:23, 5 May 2012 (UTC).

Invitation - Featured picture voting [edit]

Dear Cathy,

Thank you very much for your last participating in a featured picture voting about a musical instrument. I would kindly ask you if you would like to give your vote (and comments) in this featured picture voting about an upright piano of mahogany "Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Steinway & Sons upright piano, model K-52 (mahogany finish), manufactured at Steinway's factory in New York City.jpg" before it ends on 23 Jun 2012 at 08:07:03 (UTC). What are you doing on categories? Please stop it ! [edit]

Hi Cathy Richards. What are you doing on categories? What is the sense of your destructive edits? Please stop it! I lost a lot of time to revert many of your wrong edits. Why do you delete inter-wikis? Why do you cancel important mother-categories like here? And please, don't delete at Ancient Roman categories the Category:Ancient Roman categories: this is a very important category for maintenance of these cats, and for the correct assignment of the categories that relate to the world and culture of ancient Rome. Don't do it again! If you don't undestand the sense or the importance of all these categories and the complex system of category-trees of Commons, please let it be, don't make any edits. Otherwise they are to be considered vandalism. Thank you! --DenghiùComm (talk) 15:24, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

Please that a substantial part of your latest modifications qualify for vandalisme. Please stop that. --Foroa (talk) 18:43, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

Don't see how it can be a "Gender symbol" when it doesn't indicate any particular gender... AnonMoos (talk) 18:23, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

Creating apparent category inconsistency [edit]

You should either remove all Venus symbols from Category:Female symbols, or leave them all in... AnonMoos (talk) 18:49, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

Why are you removing "Category:Female symbols" from only some images in "Category:Venus symbols", but leaving it place for others? I don't understand it, and I doubt whether it's resulting in clearer categorization... AnonMoos (talk) 06:28, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Category:Snake Goddess [edit]

It doesn't make too much sense to add "Wicca" to this category (and Wicca also should not have been in Category:Mother Goddess). Wiccans did not invent neo-pagan Goddess worship, Wiccans do not monopolize neo-pagan Goddess worship, and Wiccans do not define neo-pagan Goddess worship for other groups. At most it can be said that they publicized it (though they must share the honors with Robert Graves, who significantly influenced the concept of the Wiccan Goddess, while Wiccans didn't influence Robert Graves at all). If "Mother Goddess" is de facto a Wiccan category, then its name should be changed to indicate this, because its current name does not indicate Wiccan-specificity. AnonMoos (talk) 13:39, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Why? [edit]

Hi Cathy Richards. Can I know why do you continue to delete the "category Ithyphallic representations" at the Category:Mercurius-Priapus fresco (from Pompeii)? Do you know what it means "ithyphallic"? Thank you for your answer. --DenghiùComm (talk) 23:09, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Why? 2 [edit]

And why are you removing neighborhood categories? Beyond My Ken (talk) 19:49, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

If a photo or category is listed in both a general category (say "Manhattan") and a specific category which is entirely included in the general category (say "Kips Bay, Manhattan"), then remove the general category, not the specific one. Also, many categories are not entirely included in another categories: streets, for instance, can pass through many neighborhoods. I've rollback many of your edits of the past couple of days because your deletions were incorrect. Please be more careful in your editing. If you are uncertain about whether to take a cat out or not, leave it in! Beyond My Ken (talk) 20:01, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
You continue to make these kinds of errors. Why did you remove Flagler College from the Henry Flagler category? The school is named after him. I do not think that you are employing good judgment, so I suggest that you stop making category edits before I'm forced to report your editing to an uninvolved admin. Beyond My Ken (talk) 20:07, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Looking up at your talk page, the majority of the comments there are complaints about your category work. Please take the message there to heart and stop making category edits. Beyond My Ken (talk) 20:12, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Category [edit]

Hi,

You removed the Category:Male human genitals in heraldry from this picture: Coa Italy Family Mocking arms Colleoni.svg These things are a pair of testiles so I think they are male human genitals. You can find a Hungarian article about the mocking arms: [3] Maybe the Google translator can translate it to your language. Bye: Madboy74 (talk) 00:56, 5 March 2013 (UTC)

symbolic doves [edit]

Dear Cathy, pleace take my edit comment into consideration. As you may see, there are three doves depicted. Two of them are a symbol of divine love. The third one? Holy Spirit? Baptism? Pentecostal? ...? Thank you, PigeonIP (talk) 07:57, 15 March 2013 (UTC)

Coats of Arms [edit]

Stop removing categories and revert them all now. The two categories are not the same and not equal. Both are required. Revert now or I will escalate this. You made the mess, now clean it up! Kiltpin (talk) 22:15, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Hearts in heraldry ? [edit]

You are doing it again! "(Cat-a-lot: Removing from Category:Hearts in heraldry)" - Why? Yesterday might have been a mistake or a misunderstanding of requirements, but this is vandalism. Heraldry is obviously not your strong point, so why not leave it alone. Kiltpin (talk) 00:50, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

Hello ! I saw that you took the category:Phallus over from this file. As I can see that your contributions is around symbols in sexality, there is probably a good reason for your act.
