OTRS

New one...Image:Bald Eagle, Kodiak, Alaska.jpg. RlevseTalk 10:42, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Found it, so ✓ Done. Thanks! :-) Cbrown1023 talk 21:55, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
If you're up for doing some more, I sent a couple in the last few days but haven't received a response/seen an OTRS ticket. Thanks for doing the other ones and for sending out the newsletter. --Nehrams2020 04:28, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
✓ Done Thank you for your contributions to the Wikimedia Commons. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 02:40, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

OTRS again

Can you take a look here and figure out what's what? There's apparently a ticket, but Flickr says all rights reserved, so.... yeah. – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 23:33, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

The permission described on the image description page is valid. Cbrown1023 talk 00:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you

thx, see you. --Meno25 01:57, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

no problem. ;-) Cbrown1023 talk 22:54, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Password lost

Hi Cbrown, and sorry for my disappearance. I can't find my login for Commons and I hadn't enabled email here. Is there a way to find the password for User:Hoverfish here and mail it to me via my enabled email in Wikipedia [1] ? Thanks ! -- forgot to sign 91.113.243.49 07:17, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Heya. you would have to get a willing system administrator to do it. They normally hang out in #wikimedia-tech on IRC. If you can't get one of them to do it, you could probably look into a bureaucrat renaming it so you could re-take the name. Cbrown1023 talk 13:29, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

deprecated function in your monobook.js

Dear user, I noticed that you use the includePage function in your monobook.js page.

This function is now obsolete, as the importScript function was introduced with rev:35064 to the MediaWiki Javascript core library wikibits.js. It also keeps track of already imported files.

To allow us to remove includePage from Mediawiki:Common.js I'd kindly ask you to replace its use with importScript (same syntax!). Thanks! --Dschwen 17:03, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Category:Agricultural diagrams, charts, graphs

Hi. Category:Agricultural diagrams, charts, graphs was discussed and accepted at Category talk:Diagrams. The author has since changed their mind, but the category fits into the current scheme, and so I restarted it. --Timeshifter (talk) 20:33, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Sure. Cbrown1023 talk 20:33, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I will (try to) create a proper deletion request, because I would like it deleted. Sorry for asking but doesn't this start with adding the tag and filling in the form. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 20:58, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes, but you have to create the page and add more information. I'll start the process for you. Cbrown1023 talk 20:59, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Done, see Commons:Deletion requests/Category:Agricultural diagrams, charts, graphs. Cbrown1023 talk 21:03, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 21:05, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

:) --Herby talk thyme 16:01, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Wow, you noticed that change very quickly! :-) No problem. Cbrown1023 talk 16:01, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't miss much you know. Good to see you around here again. Like I said - thanks for fixing it. I just need to do the "opp" ones now...! --Herby talk thyme 16:06, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Hehe, good luck. Yeah, you don't miss much. :P Cbrown1023 talk 16:21, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Speedy requests

Hi Cbrown1023,
could use please add a reason why Image:Tkach Muza muzey Veresaeva.jpg should be speedy-deleted? And why did you change the rfd for Image:Olympic Stadium Munich.JPG into a speedy[2]? Author request is not a speedy criterium. --Túrelio (talk) 06:37, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I didn't request that the first one be deleted, but the request was not properly formatted. With regards to both, {{Delete}} is often thought of as a speedy template, so I clear out Category:Incomplete deletion requests and delete what was obvious and let other admins handle what is not obvious to me. You can act accordingly (either delete it, remove the template, or open up a request), I have no opinion either way as long as it the deletion request is complete. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 14:47, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for clarifying. I removed the speedy from the first one as the original rfd-requester didn't provide any reason for deletion, and restored to rfd the second one. --Túrelio (talk) 20:46, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

RfA Thanks

As you can deduce from the discussion in Commons:Administrators'_noticeboard/Attention#es_speaker_please, a couple of hours ago, I prepared the Paul Alvarez (archaeologist) gallery to help a new user to find his way. I don't know what the rules for deletion of empty galleries are, but their deletion is often too fast to my taste (and too slow when I want it to be deleted). People need some time to setup their things. --Foroa (talk) 20:32, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Sure, undeleted. Good luck in making it into a nice gallery. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 02:31, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. It is not for me, but for novice editors without a wiki background, it is useful if they get some help to get it going. --Foroa (talk) 06:25, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi. You marked the reason for deletion of this image as "old file duplicate" (although probably not the orginal incomplete {{Delete}}). Can you please indicate where the duplicate is. The same editor has marked for deletion (and removed from categories):

but I cannot see duplicates for any. Thanks. Finavon (talk) 21:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

I have no idea, I was just clearing up the category because the deletion request was malformed. It might just be trolling, feel free to remove the templates. Cbrown1023 talk 21:39, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

you agree. If you disagree: Tell me ;) abf /talk to me/ 18:56, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Sure, I don't mind. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 19:12, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

otrs check

I have been told that the following images:

have all had permission filed with OTRS. Their descriptions do not reflect this. Can you check for a ticket number?

thanks Evrik (talk) 19:28, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

I found tickets for all of them, the cool thing is how old they are (1300+ days for some, and the ticket numbers are so low like "112541" :P). Noted on the description pages. Cbrown1023 talk 21:42, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
