[edit] A message for you

Hi Chris, have a look at Image talk:STMeurope018 MO.jpg. Thanks! -- Dr. Schorsch 14:07, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: BART map SVG

Hi, can you explain why you tagged Image:Bart-map.svg as badSVG and then SupersededPNG? It has no embedded rasters. Thanks. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 21:07, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

The text in the image seemed to get distorted at some resolutions. When clicking on the image itself ([1]), you can see how the text appears very large and out of place. A PNG image corrects this issue, so the image is just one layer and appears the same at all resoltions. I think that the image has too many objects to be uploaded as an SVG. –Dream out loud 21:52, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
That has nothing to do with resolution, that is due to the font rendering in your browser. It renders properly in Wikipedia and in Inkscape. I'm removing those tags and marking the PNG for deletion. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 20:18, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE:Brands of the World

Hi Chris, I was wondering on how you converted the EPS's on brands of the world, to SVG's. I have tried using pstoedit (by the way i'm running Ubuntu Linux) but can't seem to get the library for SVGs working. Could you offer me help on how to do this. BTW i've left a note on your English Wikipedia Page :-). Thanks in advance. > Rugby471 talk 17:36, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Don't really know if you care but...

Image:New Jersey Legislative Districts 2001 by 2004 to 2007 senator party.png has been... plagairized? by Rutgers, et al. here. 68.39.174.238 21:19, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Those images are in the public domain, so its not a problem at all. I'm glad to see they are being used. Thanks for the info. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 00:01, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New Central Jersey Map

Hey Chris,

I created a new map based on your map. I chose GNU Free Documentation License when I uploaded the picture. Let me know if this is right or wrong, and I'll fix accordingly. Your map looks good. Thanks for giving me a heads up on the copyright issues. From jps57

Hello ChrisRuvolo!

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Commons images are used by editors on many projects in many languages. Each image is put into categories. This helps other editors find them. Please add categories to each image you upload.

To add an image to a category, add the following code to the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbit of comets, add the following to the image description page:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories: Astronomy diagrams, Comets.

For further information on categories read Commons:Categories.

The CommonSense Tool often helps you find the best category for your image.

Here is a gallery of your images. Please check that each image has a category. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the help desk. Thank you.
