Hello. I like your photos from Iraq very much. Note that I have removed a couple from "photo of the day" templates for next month. This is not because I don't like them. I think that many of your photos are more than good enough to be photo of the day. Instead, I did that for two reasons: 1)I think we should have varied subjects; not too many pictures from any one country, or of any one type of thing, in a short time period. I don't object to more of these photos being "photo of the day" if they are spread out more. 2)I favor photos which are getting good support at Commons:Featured pictures candidates, as these are photos judged good by multiple people. I hope you understand. Best wishes, -- Infrogmation 17:05, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)

No reply needed, just want to tell you I think you've got a great sense of composition and color, the photos on your user page are excellent. That "Iraqi girl smiles" is startlingly excellent, one of the finest pics I've seen on Wikipedia (note how it's well-used at Wikipedia: French law on secularity and conspicuous religious symbols in schools, even though it's nowhere near France. Excellent utility! :) WP: Eaglizard 18:21, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Iraqi girl in Hijab

Greetings, I thought I would just update you that I've uploaded a slightly edited version of one of your photos [here] where I would appreciate your comments. Looked quickly through your other photos which I love, any chance you have a full gallery somewhere online I could browse later? 24.150.61.56 06:23, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Hey do you have any idea what ever happened to that young smiling Iraqi girl? I think she is such a beautiful little thing and I can't help but wonder what happened to her, alot of bad things have happened in Iraq since that picture was taken, and I just hope that whereever she is now that she can still smile like she did on that picture, I hope she never loses that.

Thanks for the lovely photography of pre-invasion Iraq; I find it difficult to locate free photos of the time now with the war. Danke. :) -- klepas, on wikipedia. 59.167.251.133 08:26, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] How is she?

Picture of sweet innocent Iraqi girl just melted me. Do you have any idea how is she? I sincerely hope she is doing good. 24.127.201.6 17:14, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Swapnil

No I don't sorry. I hope to go back one day and see if she, and others I took photos of, survived the U.S.-led invasion.Christiaan 07:42, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
