Herb Warszawy [edit]

Do 1967 r. teoretycznie obowiązywał herb przedwojenny z 1938 r.

Bonne chance, --SanchoPanzaXXI (talk) 18:53, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi! About Barcelona coat of arms, it seems (as much as I have read and searched) that never was changed by the empire. There was a not widely known proposition, coming from Paris for changing coat of arms of all Catalonia, showed in some coins (you can see at: [4]) but it seems they neved arrived to (or was adopted in) Catalonia and there are extremely few of them. During that days most of catalan coins used typical Barcelona coat of arms (few times showing other coats of arms, of other towns), sometimes over cross of St Eulalia (X, patron of Barcelona). Hope it helped! (et pardon, ne parle pas français) . --HansenBCN (talk) 13:05, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
've just seen and looked for info but it seems not probably (also it looks to me the gules area of the Coat of arms of the city). Girona showed great resistence to the Napoleonic forces that tried to capture the relatively small city with 3 sieges (1808-1809) succeeding only the last one. Because of that resistence, Girona's siege was a little bit romantized during the war against the french people (as it was known in Catalan) along with the resistance of other Spanish cities. Well, after that, they had almost all of Catalonia (Tortosa, Tarragona fell in 1811). In 1812 new départements made up in Catalonia were integrated into the empire, but they had only the cities, rural areas showed still all big resistence to the french army during the war. I will continue searching info, but I don't really expect to find the bees is any spanish coat of arms, anyway, it would be an interesting surprise :) --HansenBCN (talk) 09:25, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello, Dunkerqueenflandre!

Tip: Add categories to your images

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

Uploadwizard-categories.png

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations"). Pro-tip: The CommonSense tool can help you find the best category for your image.

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Re: Królestwo Kongresowe SVG [edit]

Hello, sorry for English, but although I was able to understand your request, my French literally doesn't exist. I have been already working on this coat of arms in its "Great" form - it was the reason why I vectorised Crown of Empress Anna Ivanovna in the first place. Best regards. Hi, I will make it gladly, as soon as I finish other stuff. I still haven't finished the Great Arms of Congress Poland:( Avalokitesvara (talk) 16:52, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

  • Hello. The image that you've proposed is indeed prettier, but it uses the modern eagle. The one I used is taken directly from XIXth century Greater Arms of Russian Empire. I have to resolve the bigger problem - the image doesn't display properly:( Avalokitesvara (talk) 13:13, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
  • Someone else solved the problem for me. It seems that I didn't know Inkscape's possiblities in 100%:) Now, I can draw other requestes. Best regards. Avalokitesvara (talk) 14:39, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

  • Hello, I've finally finished the great Coat of Arms of Grand Duchy of Finland. The trickiest part was the Order of St. Andrew that surrounds the middle shield - I had to draw it from scratch, and it took me a few days. Best regards. Avalokitesvara (talk) 14:14, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Re: coat of arms of kingdom of Napoli [edit]

Hello. I'm sorry for the late response, but I didn't visit commons for some time, and I wasn't notified about a change in the discussion page by an email for some reason. Anyway, some time has passed since my last bigger work, so I will gladly create this coat of arms. However, some of the charges on the shield in the source image are unrecognisable. Is it possible to find more detailed image of the middle shield? Best regards. Avalokitesvara (talk) 18:40, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

  • Hello I'm still working on the coat of arms of kingdom of Napoli, but due to limited time (I've started a job recently) I can only draw it step by step with little steps. The latest requests are easier, and I've just uploaded them. Best regards. Avalokitesvara (talk) 19:28, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
  • Hello, I've just uploaded grand arms of kingdom of Napoli, but there seems to be some problem with strange black bar displaying near the mermaid's neck. I've requested help and I hope that some specialist will get rid of it. Best regards. Avalokitesvara (talk) 13:31, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Arms of Joseph Bonaparte [edit]

Hello Dunkerqueenflandre

The Coat of arms of Joseph Bonaparte as King of Spain is based on two written and very reliable sources:

The King didn’t use the bees in the mantle as you can check in these sources.

I’ve moved the work of GJo at File:Arms of Joseph Bonaparte (Napoleonic Mantle).svg because I know it would be used in Napoleonic armorials and It is based on [7] as you've said, but the two mentioned sources are more reliable.

Thanking you for your cooperation.

These are the arms of Julie Clary as Spanish Royal Consort. Sorry for being late!

This is a link for your information with the arms of Désirée Clary, the Julie sister, as Queen of Sweden. In Sweden the Queens Consort use their own arms or the arms of the monarch with their own arms in a central Escutcheon, It is strange but that is the rule there.

I've seen your requests to Sodacan, and Sodacan has recently created the French dolphin. Is this coat of arms okay? Adelbrecht (talk) 15:45, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Adelbrecht (talk) 16:32, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

  • Hello, I'm still unsure if I understood the request properly, but I gave it a try. Is this what You wanted for Duke of the French Empire? Best regards. Avalokitesvara (talk) 11:47, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
I see, it should have Ermine, right? Are the other elements ok?
  • Hello, I've made corrections according to what You said. If everything is ok, I will make the version with green mantle. I must say that all this empty space looks kind of weird to me...

As for Your question about prince Poniatowski Coat of Arms - unfortunately I don't know, but I've asked the author of the first graphics, maybe he will be able to help. Perhaps it will be possible to find these arms in Armorial du Premier Empire? Unofrtunately again, I don't have access to this publication. Best regards. Avalokitesvara (talk) 09:52, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Joseph Bonaparte Arms [edit]

Hello

Thanks for your message, I've used a very reable source, as you can see at the image of infobox. It is a heraldic research that began with the study about a coat of arms of Joseph Bonaparte located in La Rioja (Spain) The problem is the text is in Spanish and there aren't images about it. My work is based on the results of User SanchoPanzaXXI he made three versions of the coat of arms of Joseph and this variant is the most correct. It is common that the artists and heraldist introduce some differences. I know that your are in charge of the French Armoirial. If you need the Version done by User Adelbrecht I can create a new file. I did't this because there are close files with the arms of Joseph but if you need that version call me for it.

Thank you for your advices and links.--Heralder (talk) 17:30, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Hello again, sorry for being late in my answer, The files uploading takes me a long time. As you can see I´m uploading the arms of Bourbonic Monarchs and the Prince of Asturias. I´m going to upload the arms of the Bourbons infantes and the queens consort so I'll do the Julie arms. I need more info about the children coat as you know in Spain the infantas had a logenze shield with the lesser coat of arms (marshalled castile and león, granada point) (Bourbons) so I need more details about the shield of the Joseph's children.
Best regards--Heralder (talk) 18:23, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

  • Ok, check it now. Best wishes. Avalokitesvara (talk) 14:22, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Avalokitesvara has done an amazing job, but why did the lion need to be changed? Adelbrecht (talk) 15:57, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Look, it is the user Ssire who is the problem, not the lion. I had a little problem with him in my earlier days, I changed some things of the French project. Instead of helping me, pointing stuff out, he's been haunting me ever since. I have not replaced any of the existing designs on the French wikipedia, to avoid any conflicts with that user (who lacks knowledge of the most basic concept of wikipedia - assume good faithà. He can tell all the lies he wants about how bad my style is, but I will not let him bully me into changing my designs, and you should not let yourself get bullied either. If he wants the arms in his style, he can draw them himself! If I draw French heraldry, I will draw it in the style I use, the style that Sodacan, Heralder, Katapanomegas and a few others also use.
As long as Ssire remains the boss of the project, and keeps having these temper tantrums, my designs will not be welcome on that wikipedia. So, if you want to update the arms of Dunkerque, I guess you'll have to find someone that is approved by Ssire, to avoid further temper tantrums. I will not refuse any request, but they will not be welcome on the French wikipedia. Adelbrecht (talk) 16:21, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

• Hello, there is certain problem with the lions You want to use. Because we need a lion with his tail between the legs and looking towards us... Avalokitesvara (talk) 17:56, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
    • I see. I suspect that You like the shading of these lions? The main question here is if this image is some sort of official representation? In my country Coats of Arms of cities have their official representations and we try to reflect these representations perfectly. That's why I wanted to create this vector image as close to the original as possible. But if there are no official reprezentations in Belgium, then that's no problem, and I can use the lions You requested. Avalokitesvara (talk) 07:25, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
      • Hello again. I've corrected the Coat of Arms. I hope You don't mind that I've used the original lion. I've made the shading similar to Sodacan's style. Best regards. Avalokitesvara (talk) 14:17, 6 October 2011 (UTC)

Arms of Joseph Bonaparte as King of Spain [edit]

Hello, I agree you, the 4th quartes silver or blue were common, but acording *español [10] a doctoral tesis, the correct tincture was gules. There was a discussion about it time before and this is the most perfect version (most peope aren't happy because the tesis is written only Spanish and at many sources the silver/blue quarter is showed but this work is clear the gules quarter is the most correct). On the other hand you are right that the silver/blue were common and usual colours. It was a mistake but this colour was used even with official emblems and badges. For this reason I recommend you that if you want you can upload other file with the variant of the silver or blue quarter. I'm sorry but I'm busy with other type of Spanish arms (Academies, the Armies and Medals) and there are four different variants with the Joseph's arms.

Napoleonic Heraldry-Spain [edit]

Hello!

I'm sorry for being late with my answer to your 1st question. 1st Arms of royal consorts. As you can see I'm really busy with the Spanish Armorial, there are a lot of institutional, academic and regimental coats of arms. For this reason I canot help you with the Bonaparte's Armorial. I'm sorry I'm really interested in the Armorial and you have done a great work congratulations on it, but I'm working in specific Spanish heraldry and direct related subjects (as royal arms variants in Italy).

2nd Question: Napoleonic infantas. It is probable there aren`t references of the heraldry of King Joseph's daughters. The reason is Queen Julie was in France and never arrived at Spain because it was a war area. There are examples of Spanish queens consort arms at the Royal Library but I think there weren't daughters arms because: they never arrived at Spain, they were small (they didn't get books collections and the main examples of consorts and infantes arms are at the Ex-libris and Super-libris), they lost their royal condition in Spain in 1812 and they never been Spanish royal pretenders after this year. But you have a hand with the concept of Atributed arms (in Spain) all Spanish infantas used a lozenge shield (in these cases with the six quarters and the escutcheon of King Joseph without labels because the Spanish Royal House left the differences system between 18th-20th Centuries) and an open crown without arches. So you can get an atributted (without a real use) of the Napoleonic Infantas acording de Spanish heraldry traditions. It's probable these infantas never used a decorations and they were two children at that time so you can use the typical palms becuse it was a fertility symbol of women. So for the external ornaments the most correct option is a ribbon as ornament as single infanta as Margaret of Parma Coat of Arms of Margareth of Parma Before her Marriage.svg and Catherine of Cambridge as single woman in Uk (the ribbon with the open royal crown of the Bourbonic Spanish Infantas as I told you). Regards --Heralder (talk) 16:50, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Coat of Arms of the Duke of Reichstadt (Variant 1).svgCoat of Arms of the Duke of Reichstadt (Variant 2).svg
Adelbrecht (talk) 18:24, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Parma [edit]

Adelbrecht (talk) 19:43, 23 December 2011 (UTC)

Joseph Bonaparte [edit]

Hello

Thank you for your message, I didn't know the COA of Joseph Bonaparte as Spanish Monarch, it is intesting but I'm really busy. I'll see in other sources as the Royal Library of Spain web if this coat had other uses or it is shown in other representations, in that case I'll do when I've finished the decorations and Spanish Provinces Sections. Best regards --Heralder (talk) 00:49, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

Joseph Bonaparte 2 [edit]

Lemmens, Tom (talk) 17:23, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
