[edit] Helen Keller
Image:Helen Keller with Anne Sullivan in July 1888.jpg is likely not in the public domain, and won't be until 1/1/2009. I went through this earlier today. Basically, the rule is this: If the photo was created less than 120 years ago as of the end of this year, AND it is by an unknown creator, THEN the copyright expires on 12/31 of the year in which the work turns 120. This photo was taken in July 1888. The 120-year anniversary is this July. Here is my deletion request for my previous upload of this same image: Commons:Deletion requests/Image:Hellen Keller holding doll with Ann Sullivan 1888.jpg. Davidwr2 05:03, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] About usage rights for image labeled 16th_Street_Baptist_Church
Hello Dystopos,
I'm clueless as to how this works but here it goes. I want to confirm usage rights for this image. I'm working on a project that needs to use an image of this church as a point of interest for a digital travel guide. In my search I found yours to be the best for this purpose. It will also be used on a website promoting the guide. Are there any limitations to using this image as a point-of-interest piece for commercial use? It's hard for me to understand the legalese on this website.
I look forward to your response. Please email me at cerdaa@yahoo.com.
Thank you.
