Beste Edoderoo, Kun jij mij uitleggen waarom enkele maanden geleden door Ahonc eerst de door mij bij het uploaden van genoemde foto ingevoerde licentie is verwijderd en deze nu dus in de categorie 'Foto's met OTRS-toestemming maar zonder licentie' is terechtgekomen? Ik begrijp hier eerlijk gezegd helemaal niets van. Graag je reactie. Bvd en groet, Piet.Wijker (talk) 20:25, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

In het OTRS-ticket staat netjes dat een GFDL-licentie gebruikt kan worden, dus die heb ik op de afbeelding vermeld. Gebruiker Ahonc heeft destijds de ccbysa3.0 licentie verwijderd, wat niet zo vreemd is, want die werd in het OTRS ticket niet genoemd. Edoderoo (talk) 21:06, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

Naam categorie gewijzigd

Hoi Edo. Ik wilde je laten weten dat ik Category:Uploaded by Eddie Janssens gewijzigd heb in Category:Images by Eddie Janssens (en aangevuld). Trijnstel_talk 18:49, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Dat is natuurlijk prima. Ik geloof dat er niet zoveel management op de categorieën op Commons zit. Soms is het een rommeltje, soms is het ook wel makkelijk. Als je ene cat nodig hebt, maak je 'm maar aan, zonder dat de zeurpolitie aan je deur komt ;-) Edoderoo (talk) 19:55, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Hoi Edo. Ik weet niet goed wat de bedoeling van deze pagina is, maar ik heb de naam gewijzigd naar Commons:OTRS-permission-for-screenshots en ik heb het ticketnr. en de categorie toegevoegd. Hij moet inderdaad nog verder aangevuld worden. Of dat daadwerkelijk gaat gebeuren, hangt af van hoe hard de inzender van dat ticket zijn best gaat doen (en hoeveel geluk hij heeft). Edoderoo (talk) 16:46, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

Picture of the Year voting round 1 open

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:

1. Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
2. This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
3. Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.

Ik ben geen sysop op commons (ook niet op :nl) dus verwijderen kan ik niet. Ik denk dat we moeten verzoeken de foto te hernoemen naar een meer neutrale naam, totdat bekend is wie het wel is. Edoderoo (talk) 10:47, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

Beste Edoderoo, Opnieuw loop ik tegen een foto aan die niet is wat hij voorgeeft te zijn. Het betreft ditmaal File:Eugène Allonsius portret.jpg. Deze foto stelt niet de Belgische atleet Eugène Allonsius voor, maar de Nederlandse atleet Jan Zijderlaan. Zou ik opnieuw een beroep op je mogen doem om te bewerkstelligen, dat deze foto wordt omgezet naar de juiste naam en wordt ingedeeld in de juiste categorie? Bij voorbaat weer mijn grote dank. Graham Hill = Tonio Hildebrand

Beste Edoderoo, Het is of de duvel ermee speelt, maar voor de derde maal in korte tijd loop ik tegen een foto aan die verkeerd is gecategoriseerd. Dit keer van een autocoureur. File:Anefo 911-3168 Autoraces op.jpg stelt namelijk niet, zoals wordt beweerd, de Britse coureur Graham Hill voor, maar de Nederlandse coureur Tonio Hildebrand.
