[edit] Image:LeToya o.jpg

Critically evaluate Flickr licenses Image:LeToya o.jpg has been marked as a copyright violation. You may have preserved the information shown on Flickr correctly when transferring the image here, but the Flickr uploader is not the copyright holder of this image. Either the image was created by someone else, or it is a derivative of someone else's work. As stated in Commons:Licensing, only the copyright holder may issue a license, so the one shown on Flickr is invalid.

Always remember to critically evaluate Flickr licenses. Photostreams with professional-looking photographs, album covers, posters, and images in a wide range of styles or quality taken by many different cameras often indicate that the Flickr uploader either does not understand or does not care about copyright matters.

Also Image:LeToya new.jpg, the Flickr uploader is definitively not the author of this images and he can not license the images under a free cc license. --Martin H. (talk) 00:37, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

I just noticed, that you uploaded the images to Flickr yourself to make them look free. This practice is called Flickrwashing and it is inadmissible for a positive and trustful collaboration here at Commons, you should stop this immediately. --Martin H. (talk) 00:43, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Hi again, your statement on my talkpage is a bit confusing: you say, that you toke the images with you own camera. No, thats wrong for at last one image according to the metadata. If you have a permission from the author it is not our intention to destroy your work or prevent you from uploading free images, we just try to keep Commons free from images that are not free (just take a look at Special:NewFiles, there are a very few non-free images). Thanks for deleting the images on Flickr again and welcom back to Commons ;) --Martin H. (talk) 01:12, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Long time ago, but I repeat my warning and deletion: Do not flickr wash images to commons with uploading them to your flickr account. Uploading images to your flickr does not make them yours or give you the right to license them. --Martin H. (talk) 01:50, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Stop hand nuvola.svg Hello Eduemoni,

You have uploaded several files that are copyright violations and you have done so despite our requests not to do so, and despite our instructions. If you do not stop uploading pictures that are not free, your account will be blocked. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Image casebook useful. Please leave me a message if you have further questions.

Nuvola apps important.svg It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks!

The latest edits I have seen by Eduemoni looks rater civil. I wonder if this notice landed on the right page? Of course I can only agree with the advise so I hope Eduemoni will remember it. --MGA73 (talk) 10:27, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, what do you mean by "on the right page"? Writing "Martin H. ... went into madness"[1] is rather a personal attack. --Túrelio (talk) 10:44, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Sorry I did not comment before now. I think it is a pretty fair note Eduemoni made. Have you looked at Martin H's page where user tried to get into a dialog with Martin? I thought it was a comment on that and found it a bit hard to leave a message to only one part. --MGA73 (talk) 09:06, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
