DR: File:Precession_torque.jpg [edit]

Actually anyone can close a non-controversial keep -- see Commons:Deletion_requests#Instructions_for_administrators for policy and instructions. The nominator is the perfect one to close if he decides to withdraw it.

BTW, I sympathize with your frustration, although I don't understand the mechanics well enough to have an opinion on this one. The concept that we should keep a wrong drawing just because it's in use -- often put there by the person who drew it -- seems a little off.      Jim . . . . Huh, I had looked at that section and still missed it. Well, thanks for your note and thanks for closing the deletion request. Yeah, I will make an attempt to fix the image if appropriate after the debate is resolved here: wikipedia:Talk:Axial_precession_(astronomy)#Cause. It probably won't be nearly as pretty as the one that's there now, though. :) ErikHaugen (talk) 00:59, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
