I'm Sampsa Lehtonen from Recoil Games. We are trying to setup a page for our video game Rochard. I've tried to upload an image of the cover art for the game. How do I upload it so that it's okay to reside in Wikipedia. I have permission to upload the picture in Wikipedia permitted by the company. What we want to have is something similar to File:Alan-wake-0.jpg

If you company is willing to allow others to use this image for any purposes, please send confirmation (see example on Commons:Email templates) to Commons:OTRS. Otherwise you could upload artwork as fair use to project(s) with allow such images. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:42, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm Lucio Benenati that photo is made by myself. Why are you attempting on cancelling it????????? I want an answer. Thank you.

Please confirm your identity as well as publisher permission (if you transferred copyright to publisher) via Commons:OTRS. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:49, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know why you deleted this file. Mainly considered that I'm the owner of the material picture, and I scanned it on January. Is there any way to recover it without "transgressing" you?

Who is photographer? Just ownership and scan will not make you author of image. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:40, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Eugen Zelenko, why did you delete my fiel lughat.tiff uploaded May 9th? I am the author of the file, you violated my author rights. please undo it, I wanted to make wikipedia better, your violations of rights and undoing my work make me angry.

Ľubomír Novák a.k.a. lubossekk

Are you author of book design? If so please confirm your identity with Commons:Email templates and send it to Commons:OTRS. Otherwise you need to ask permission of original author. See also Commons:Derivative works. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:37, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Would you consider undeleting File:Natybotero2.jpg? I notice it was marked {{Pd-self}} at en.wp, so it appears to be well sourced. It was also uploaded before the OTRS process existed on en.wp, if that's the issue. Magog the Ogre (talk) 03:45, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was marked as no source by User:Saibo. It's also doesn't seems as own work for me (small resolution). It's likely to be promotional image. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:39, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Belarus-Minsk-New_National_Library-1.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Concerning the script and analyzing your contributions, I would suggest, you add
var AxUserMsgPreSelect = 1;

to your common.js, too. This will select the second option, which is copyvionote.

I saw that you added the script to your common.js but you're actually not using it. Do you think it's to complicated? Or did you just oversight the new "Notify this user"-link. I have to admit there is one click more ... but probably we can find a solution.

Linphone Revision History: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Linphone&action=history

Official Linphone license statement: http://www.linphone.org/legales.html

Screenshot:: You removed my screenshot of Linphone, because you MISTAKENLY assumed that Linphone was NON-FREE software. Linphone is FREE software, as described by the Free Software Foundation. If you have no expertise in this field, then you might want to stay out. I'm going to kindly undo your mistake, but I'll let you try to prove me wrong first. Linphone is GPL v2.0 licensed.

Logo:: You deleted the logo on the FALSE grounds that it violates copyright. The license on the logo is CC-BY-ND. Once again, you have my permission to prove me wrong, but of course that will not be possible.

CC-BY-ND in not accepted by Commons. See Commons:Licensing for details.
Screenshot contained logo (CC-BY-ND) and other art in form of background (not credited in any way) and Windows controls (not necessary at all).
EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:45, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, so I guess you better go police every other uploaded screenshot and icon including all the ones that are deemed legitimate and do the exact same thing, such as Firefox's icon and screenshot, iTunes' article, etc. There's no way you're right. And CC-BY-ND means no derivatives. Things on Wikipedia are not derivatives. The CC-BY-ND license gives me the right to reproduce that icon as many times as I want to as long as I give credit to the Linphone makers. The ONLY thing I can't do is change it. Whatever you're saying is obviously wrong, because Firefox's icon has a MORE restrictive license than that, and it's being used without dispute. Rj.amdphreak (talk) 19:19, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Aha, I figured out the dissidence between our arguments. You are an unhelpful person, whereas I was misled by the Wikimedia commons upload page to believe that it was the ONLY way to upload the icon and screenshot for use in an article. I now suspect that there is a Wikipedia-specific area to upload non-compliant images under Fair Use provisions. You could have told me that in the first place, instead of letting me figure it out after a few hours of reading. I was wrong about WHERE to upload it, because I didn't know about the right place to upload it. Thank you for not helping. Rj.amdphreak (talk) 04:37, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Then again, my discovery was a false alarm, since it says on the Firefox screenshot that "This is a file from the Wikimedia Commons." So, I was wrong again, but about being wrong before. So, if you're such an educated individual, why didn't you just add the Fair Use section to the upload. You're being a troll, and it's about time you know it. Rj.amdphreak (talk) 04:44, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's good idea to learn how to do things before doing them (like project rules). It'll definitely reduce number of misunderstandings. There is also dedicated page where you could ask questions. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:45, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was marked with {{Copyvio}}, so at least two people had same opinion :-) --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:27, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! The picture I had uploaded to the commons of Rebecca Loebe was deleted recently due to licensing issues. I uploaded the image again and added the information from the creative commons license, but I'm not certain this is exactly what you needed to keep this legal. I have the authors permission to be using this picture, as well as his name which I think was added on the initial upload, though I can't seem to find it on the page now. Hello EugeneZelenko, I've seen that you deleted all User:Mdujak files. Can you review those deletions (the ones taht were not marked as missing source)?-- Darwin Ahoy! 16:11, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Number of files with EXIF was small in comparing with overall number of files. Files with EXIF were in same small resolutions as other. 3-megapixel cameras may produce bigger images. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:45, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but they looked sort of amateurish, while the others were more like downscalled versions of good photos. But if you believe you have good reasons to think they were copyvios too, I trust you.-- Darwin Ahoy! 05:11, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ablaze images deleted[edit]

Hi Eugene

I'm very confused that you have deleted the scans I created for an article I am editing in Wikipedia about Ablaze! fanzine. I was the writer of the Sonic Youth article - you can see my name 'Ross' in the image, and I have declared the copyright. I have declared all copyright to the magazine owner/editor Karren Ablaze! and I really don't see a problem. The pictures are there for illustration and copyright law does not generally restrict using small parts of an overall work for use in commentary.

I am only concerned with documenting what I see as an important part of the cultural history of my home town.

Please undelete.

Thanks

Ross

Russia copyright exceptions[edit]

Hi, does {{PD-RU-exempt}} and {{PD-KG-exempt}} also apply to logos and documents owned by Russian private companies or organizations? does a similar license to this file also apply to this logo of FC Alga Bishkek?   ■ MMXX  talk  15:43, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, only in Ukraine companies/etc. logos are exempted from copyrights. FC Alga Bishkek may be not trivial case, but it's not strictly identical to city coat of arms (colors inversed). --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:47, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's not identical to coat of arms of Bishkek, but it is not original either and overall design is very similar to the coat of arms, considering this, do you think we should undelete File:FK Alga Bishkek Logo.gif, or should we open a DR for File:FK Alga Bishkek Logo.svg too?   ■ MMXX  talk  16:05, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think inversion of colors add too much creativity, so probably undeletion will be good idea. But it'll be necessary to add explanations in image description. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:46, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the one who tagged the image for deletion. As I am not an admin here, I was wondering if you could handle it... is that sufficient enough a claim of "own work" for it to be kept, or would OTRS be needed? Drilnoth (talk) 20:18, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think OTRS is needed to confirm identity and archive legal claims of this matter. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 20:24, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Changing username question[edit]

thank you for processing my change username request from Snpollack to PAIRdoc on 7/24/2011. I note, however, that the change did not propagate to the File History of a jpg I uploaded under my old username ( File:Sunshine 20110723.jpg). Is it possible to change the username associated with this file's upload history to my new username? Thanks. --PAIRdoc (talk) 14:42, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, it's queued operation, so it may take some time to update. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:45, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

5 unfree? Panoramio images by Oleksiy Golubov[edit]

A Russian uploader claims that 4-5 panoramio images he uploaded here are his own work as he says on my talkpage Here are the pictures:

Please can you contact him on his talkpage and tell him how to contact people on panoramio? I'm don't know Russian...and I am not on panoramio at all, only flickr. I told him I would request your help. The thing is 1 of the 5 images comes from a separate account than the other 4 ValeryDudush ones and has a very restrictive CC by NC and ND license; the rest are CC BY ND from the same account which he claims is his own BUT he seems to think that since he downloaded the photos, its his pictures What can I say: he's a newbie, he claims. I'm just lost on panoramio but I think the uploader is not the panoramio account owner of all 5 images since there 2 different accounts here. All I can do is fail the pictures based on the license. But he says that this shows that ValeryDudush is him, Oleksiy Golubov, the uploader. If you are persuaded, then please Pass all 4 of the 5 images above from this account and notify the uploader: Mr. Golubov; I can't even read the Cyrillic month of the upload sadly. He's expecting a message from you anyway. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 18:50, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Complicated issue[edit]

Hello Eugene!

What is your opinion on this issue: Commons:Deletion requests/File:Celles04-1.jpg.

These three images were obviously taken in the 2nd World War but somebody uploaded them as "own work". Possible?

I think you're correct: it's World War II or not so long after photos. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:43, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bot flag request[edit]

Hi Eugene. When you get a moment, can you take a look at Commons:Bots/Requests/US National Archives bot? We are still working out a few details of the batch upload, but there doesn't seem to be any reason why the account shouldn't be flagged at this point. Commons:Deletion requests/File:2004-eventamavi.jpg[edit]

I don't want to be taking this personally but let's sort this out.

I am Trayan Sarafov (Траян Сарафов) and I am the founder of Eventa Simracing back in 2004.

All the paintings are my job and if you want a proof, write down your email so I can give you all the .psd files.

This car is of my team and I am the artist.

It is in small resolution because it is from year 2004 and is a screenshot.

Eventa Simracing is a Bulgarian simracing club and we do not intend to break any kind of copyrights.

We do racing and we want to present it to the world.

Regards, Tray

File:EventaSimracingLogoo.png[edit]

"Logo. Not text only." was the explanation why you deleted my logo.

The logo is of my creation and if you want a proof I can send you all the .psd files.

Please bring back my logo or let me upload it.

"File:BUIAA Crest small.png"[edit]

Could you explain to me why you deleted the logo that I personally created? I have the Illustrator files on my local drive! You categorized the copyright violation as a "University Logo" yet this is most definitely NOT the official logo of Boston University or any affiliated institution. We have permission to use parts of the Boston University design in our own design, as we are a part of the University, yet our design is completely original.

Please restore this file, or at least provide a way for me to "prove" to you that I am indeed the creator of this file. Thanks.

Please use Commons:OTRS to archive university's permission. See Commons:Email templates as example. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:53, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Usurp request[edit]

Hi,

Can you please re-check the usurp request for "Pine". As far as I can see, there's no reason it can't be done.

The user has had quite a number of problems sorting out their usurp on enwiki (some pages/redirects were in a mess), and I was helping to sort that out; but, it would be good to resolve their issue here, too.

Thanks,  Chzz  ►  17:58, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I expressed my opinion on this request. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:49, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry; I wasn't sure - from that request thread - if it had been refused, or was subject to further discussion - and I'm still not clear. I'm not sure quite why it is problematic, given that the account on Commons has never been used.
Can you please clarify a little - if your decision is "no" that's fine, of course - but at the moment I'm not clear if it has been concluded. Or, should/could we seek other opinions? Thanks again,  Chzz  ►  18:44, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's not good idea to be renamed to commons name, especially if it used by other users. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:44, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK - I do understand you opinion - however, I don't believe there is any policy being it, at present? Thus, I do ask you to accept consensus on this occasion, despite your opinion. Thanks.  Chzz  ►  01:53, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Difference between См. также and Смотри также[edit]

Hi EugeneZelenko. Since you speak ru, may I ask the difference between См. также and Смотри также? Google Translate suggests something about the capitalization but I want to make sure. I want it to read "See also". Thanks in advance, --ZooFari 17:28, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It may be two variants: formal (Вы) Смотрите также and informal (Ты) Смотри также. См. также is abbreviation of both. I think it's originated from printed text, where space was limited, but may be used as wording satisfied both formal/informal variants. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:38, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks. --ZooFari 18:19, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion - why?[edit]

Can you explain your summary deletion of [2]? It is PD in both the country of the original and the country of the translation as it was tagged.--User:Doug(talk contribs) 14:35, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

United Kingdom is country of origin of translator. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:41, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but the rule is country of first publication. It was published in NY. The book template was incorrect on this, the copyright page indicates NY.--User:Doug(talk contribs) 14:47, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you sure it was published in USA first? Publishing house worked in both UK/USA. Translation may be published in other places too, like newspapers (Doroshevich himself was journalist), for example. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:51, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
First, simultaneous, it doesn't matter, but we don't base deletion on where something might have been published. Most publishers list all of their offices on the title page, that doesn't mean the work was published in all of them. The copyright notice says New York. In any case, you could have at least moved it to the English Wikisource as it was supporting a work there and now the index is all fouled up. Can you restore it and move it there please? Without the djvu the index won't work. I wasn't the original uploader, I don't have access to the scans or the book template info anymore.--User:Doug(talk contribs) 17:23, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
We got it moved. Please think about that in the future as an alternative to outright deletion. It really messes up an index to have the djvu deleted out from under it. I still contend this work is perfectly fine on Commons.--User:Doug(talk contribs) 00:36, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, The copyright of this book was New York, 1916. So it is PD in the country of origin. See page 10. Could you restored it please? Yann (talk) 15:25, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
See my answer above. USA is not sole country of origin. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:54, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Me traes muy presionado - Я передаю очень прессованные[edit]

¿Podrías acomodarlas a tu gusto? You indicated that the source of this file was not provided. The information I have in the description clearly states the detailed origins of the file: It is from the Library of Congress Archives (the U.S. Library of Congress), the Bain Collection.

The Bain Collection is part of the online archives of the Library of Congress. The LOC Website indicates that the Bain Collection contains photographs donated to the LOC by the Bain American journalism firm when it went out of business many years ago. The photos are all pre-1923, and therefore the copyright has long expired. The LOC has the Bain Collection online with no copyright.

Please advise.

Reporting copyright violations of Thirukkacchi (talk · contribs)[edit]

This user Thirukkacchi (talk · contribs) was already notified by you, for uploading this file ([3]) with a false license. Now yet again, this user has uploaded two more files whichs clearly violate license policies.

I'm hereby providing links to the files, which are copy vio's.
File:[4] - The uploader has used a "copyleft free art license" but the web-source is well copyrighted.

This is another file [5] - The user claims it to be his own work, but it is rather taken from a copyrighted website - see here:[6].

I'm not aware of the complaint procedures in wikimedia, and so i had no choice but to report these inconsistencies to you, as you had once notified that user. I request you to take action against "user:thirukacchi" and remove his uploads immediately. Thank You. Hari7478 (talk) 13:43, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I marked two files as missing permission (will be deleted after ~ week if there will not be real permission), and nominated third for deletion (link you provided not opened).

It's look like organization logo for me. You could confirm your authorship by sending Commons:Email templates to Commons:OTRS. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:43, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
File:Form_of_government.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not.

Thank you!

Hi Eugene! That's great news, thanks. Just a short question: I have been asked by other WLM countries if I can run a similar bot for them. Do I need to ask for separate permission for each flickr group?--Strainu (talk) 19:15, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's fine to do other countries too, but will be good idea to coordinate efforts with other users who are interested in this area. I think mostly form proper categorization point of view as well as for Commons:Freedom of panorama review. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:45, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

doub[edit]

I don't understand something, when I take a picture of a person. who has the rights on the imagen? I do or the person on the picture?, and is the same in political party logos, and the congressional and national coat of arms and flags?. Ps: please note that I do not live in US, I live in Guatemala. --WaDaRoQ (talk) 17:32, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you are talking about File:Montenegronineth.jpg, this file taken from web site, and you are not author. Photographer holds copyright on photo, but person could have some rights (see Commons:Photographs of identifiable people). Right for political party logos belongs to political party. National coats of arms and flags are likely to not be copyrighted, but you need to look into particular country copyright law. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:54, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Would you pass or fail this image? It shows primarily a Russian bridge over a river. I don't know how Russian FOP treats bridges. Are they also copyrighted...which means that Commons cannot keep this photo? If so, then it should be deleted. Your input is welcome. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 01:31, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, bridges may be treated as works of architecture :-) However this one doesn't seems to contain any touch of artist - just assembly of standard details :-) --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:48, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment: I see what you mean. The bridge should be copyrighted like a building since its a work of architecture. I suspected this too. But since this structure shows almost no architectural creativity, it can be passed. I filed a DR once on a building in a country with no FOP and the DR was closed as keep because the building was just standard building architecture. It was banal or just a box. So, I'll pass this image then. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 19:54, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi EugeneZelenko. The above file, was a photograph clicked by me. It is a logo of my school and is not copyrighted. So, I would be glad if you could please undo the deletion. Rahul Bobhate (talk) 07:17, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This image is Commons:Derivative work for logo, which could not be fitted as {{PD-textlogo}}. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:46, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Will you pass or fail this observatory in Bulgaria due to FOP issues? I don't know how to handle it. The thing is the uploader Tourbillon created a category for this observatory and I don't know if Commons can keep its pictures. Maybe you know the answer as an experienced Administrator? Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 05:51, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Design is quite simple and as far as I remember from astronomy books very typical :-) --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:50, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I'm not entirely clear about the deletion here [7]. Reading [8] and the example given at [9], why does 'not text only' mean it needed to be deleted? We have plenty of album covers, for instance. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 16:14, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Simple designs are trivial to be protected by copyrights. See also {{PD-textlogo}}.
Sure, non-trivial album covers without explicit permission from copyrights owner (via Commons:OTRS) should be deleted too.
EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:43, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, we'll see about getting permission from the school. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 15:41, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:GOL_CAVANI_DANUBIO.jpg[edit]

I have permission for the use of these images by the owners of the website, strictly for the display on this article. Nickodanubio

So it's definitely not your own work. Permission to use in article is not good enough for Commons (see Commons:Licensing). Also you need to document permissions via Commons:OTRS. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:46, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming[edit]

Hello Eugene

Can I have a question about renaming my account. Can my contributions be kept? Best regards--Quan (talk) 09:20, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributions will be with new name. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:53, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have one more question, why is my name in file history of my uploaded image not changed?--Quan (talk) 08:11, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I know, it's queued operation, so it could take some time. Unfortunately Special:Statistics doesn't show queue length :-( --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:41, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I'm confused as to why you removed this logo. That logo was newly created, and I have received verbal permission to use it.

It's not {{PD-textlogo}}. Verbal permission is not enough. Please ask copyright owner to use Commons:Email templates as example and send it to Commons:OTRS. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:42, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

University of Leeds[edit]

My images pertaining to the University of Leeds were of small resolution size as I uploaded them to my facebook page and deleted the originals, therefore I used my images from facebook which are of course, a smaller resolution. I understand you need to check the images, but I don't appreciated being doubted and given minimal time to respond. Anyways, I wouldn't expect anything else from wikipedia, I've become used to this targeting and treatment whilst helping to contribute your encyclopedia. I want you to understand that your actions, and your alone, have sabotaged a good article I have worked very hard on. Now the University of Leeds page is below the quality of it's main competitors and similar organisations, I trust you will be checking the credentials of all university webpages and copyrights for their crests and pictures to ensure transparency? --Freedomflag (talk) 12:137, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

It's always good idea to read rules of project (especially Commons:Licensing) before starting to do something, what will definitely could prevent some confusions. And definitely somebody else other created university coat of arms. Sorry, but some time to respond was given to you. If university doesn't have good photos, nothing prevent you ta take camera and share high-resolution originals. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:57, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Eugene!

Your knowledge on this issue would be appreciated by me. It is a photograph of the famous "The Motherland Calls"-sculpture that is copyrighted but this special image was published on the official homepage of the Governor of Volgograd Oblast. I assume that this is ok because of the appearance on this website. The homepage releases all its files under a CC-by-3.0 licence including this one. What is your opinion in that? Greetings, High Contrast (talk) 17:28, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's really hard to judge does official photographers aware of Commons:Freedom of panorama or not, and if aware, did they asked for permission from sculptor or not. I remember photo of similar origins with monument in Category:Brest Fortress. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:47, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I marked this image but I hope there is no COM:FOP problems...and that it is an ordinary 'generic' train station in Russia. Do you agree? If not, please feel free to delete this image. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 23:02, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it's generic building, but will be good idea to ask uploader find out construction date. It's looks old fashioned and may be build during Russian Empire days. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:36, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Polite requests for undeletion at en.wp, which you are removing without reading[edit]

I notice you recently deleted File:Pooh hunny hunt entrance.jpg. You'll see that the talk page of the image which you deleted contains text asking for you to place a request for undeletion at English Wikipedia if the image is ever deleted. However, you didn't do that. Can you please make sure to do that in the future? Magog the Ogre (talk) 00:25, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I don't understand you question. Image is clear Commons:Derivative work from modern Disney like drawings (see also Commons:Freedom of panorama#Japan), and should not be moved on Commons in first place. I don't understand how moving this image into English Wikipedia will magically make it free. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:45, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
