About all MY images

I can't really understand why you are suggesting to delete all my images. They mainly are about football teams of my province Chaco, of the country where i live: Argentina.

If you could at least search about the names of those teams on wikipedia you would find out yourself all about those teams. The articles are in spanish because i'm from a spanish speaking country and I only uploaded images here because in wikipedia redirect me here when i wanted to upload an image or photograph.

I don't know if you took the time to investigate about the teams, otherwise you would know about them because i'm trying my best to create articles so all football fans as me can find out about the teams from my province. All I did is from the bottom of my heart because I'm a football fan since I was born. And the 90% of people here too, as in the USA may the majority be baseball fans or basketball fans.

I don't have the support of anyone by doing these, I had to take almost all photographs by myself and I had to travel a lot because lots of teams are from another cities or towns. I had to go to their central house to ask for information and to their stadiums to take the match's photos. Lots of them far away from where I live, and all because I love football and specially the one played in my Province (in Argentina we don't have states like in the USA or Brazil, we have provinces).

I worked really hard to take the photos so people could have a proper look about the teams uniform and players. In fact some of those photos were borrowed to me by the sports journalits of a web page called tribuna10.com.ar very close friends of mine, and when i uploaded them I mentioned "comity of tribuna10.com.ar" to know that they were theirs. If you don't believe me visit the article of "Club Social y Deportivo Fontana" on wikipedia and you would see on the photos' descrptions on the same article.

To sum up, I can't see a reason for you to suggest deleting all my images. Not only would be months of time wasted, it would be a lack of respect to my effort that you would have destroyed.--Topitoxx (talk) 17:27, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Muchas veces he deseado encontrar una imagen de Vizcaya lo bastante impresionante como para proponerla Featured Picture. De todas formas, me ha sorprendido que lo hayas intentado con la del Parque Etxebarria. No he estudiado fotografía, y alguna vez he visto cómo se rechazaba una imagen propuesta por mí, pero creo que los elementos que destacan están en sombra, y no se aprecian los detalles. Ya veremos qué dicen los demás. En mi humilde opinión, tanto tú como yo hemos subido mejores imágenes que esa. Mismamente, creo que File:Bilbobus.jpg es técnicamente mejor y más ilustrativa (aunque tampoco creo que llegue a FP una imagen de un autobús urbano con el morro en sombra). Al leer la descripción de esta imagen he encontrado que habías puesto el código Un autobús de [[es:Bilbobus]], de [[Bilbao]], España., lo que hacía que apareciera "Un autobús de, de Bilbao, España." Por favor recuerda que cuando en una wiki escribes un enlace que empieza por un código de idioma y dos puntos, lo que creas es un enlace interwiki: El texto no aparece en el artículo, sino en la barra de al lado. Si quieres enlazar algo con otro proyecto, pero que se siga viendo en el cuerpo del artículo, debes poner dos puntos también antes del código del idioma. Así [[es:Bilbobus]] o [[es:Bilbobus|Bilbobus]] generan enlaces a Wikipedia, que no se leen en la descripción de la imagen, mientras que [[:es:Bilbobus]] y [[:es:Bilbobus|Bilbobus]], generan enlaces que sí aparecen, como estos: es:Bilbobus Bilbobus. Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2017 is open!

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2017.

Round 2 will end on 22 July 2018, 23:59 UTC.
