[edit] Trifolium medium?
Hello Fice! In the Finnish Wikipedia someone asked if this picture File:TrifoliumMedium.jpg actually is Trifolium medium because of the spots on the leaves. I don't know anything about plants but I did notice that the flower looks different than the other images on the page Trifolium medium. I was hoping that you could confirm the name or recategorize the image (if it's something else like Trifolium pratense instead). Samulili (talk) 11:29, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hello Samulili, the species' identity is confirmed by 100%. The spots on the leaves are not relevant for the determination. The long-elliptical shape of the leaves is quite typical and the most significant attribute of Trifolium medium are the thin, pointed "side-leaves" (correct term? in German: Nebenblätter). -- Fice (talk) 09:20, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
