file:Quebec MRC L'Amiante location map.svg[edit]

Pierre cb (talk) 04:38, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Pierre cb (talk) 19:56, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Fralambert!

Tip: Add categories to your images

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

Uploadwizard-categories.png

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations"). Pro-tip: The CommonSense tool can help you find the best category for your image.

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically sighted. This will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to help users watching Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones. Thank you. Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Canada[edit]

--Hadrianopolis (talk) 04:05, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Filemover[edit]

Welcome, Dear Filemover![edit]

Commons File mover.svg

Hi Fralambert, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:

 • Use the CommonsDelinker link in the rename template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
 • Please do not tag redirects as speedy. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references.
 • Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.

 • Hi Fralambert, I decided to give you the filemover right after seeing numerous valid rename requests from you. I did this so that you would have the option of moving files on your own, but if you would rather continue to use rename requests, that's perfectly ok too. Take care.

Cantons-de-l'Est (talk) 13:03, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

--Fralambert (talk) 02:31, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

le petit pouvoir[edit]

Is it more proper to call it Category:Le Petit Pouvoir or would Ancienne centrale hydroélectrique des Cèdres be better? Je ne sais pas. Fungus Guy (talk) 01:25, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

The problem is there is also a Hydro-Québec Generating Station (File:HQ - Centrale des Cèdres.jpg), I used the nickname of the prower station since it is more the Soulanges Canal Generating Station. --Fralambert (talk) 02:02, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

pont tiffault/pont ducharme[edit]

Your images of Pont Tiffault in La Tuque, Québec, look an awful lot like Pont Ducharme. Are they the same bridge, or just similar-looking bridges in the same area? Fungus Guy (talk) 22:53, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Pont Thiffault and Pont Ducharme are two different bridge, built on the same river the same year. It's normal they look alike, the departement of Colonization used the same model for all there bridges. The description is here. --Fralambert (talk) 01:53, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

L'Enfilade-de-Maisons-en-Brique-Rouge-de-Yamachiche[edit]

I think the category Category:L'Enfilade-de-Maisons-en-Brique-Rouge-de-Yamachiche should be renamed Category:L'enfilade de maisons en brique rouge de Yamachiche, as it is a stand-alone noun in this sense. Thoughts? Fungus Guy (talk) 02:00, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

It's not really make sence, but it is the official name of the historic site [1]. But thinking of it, it sound mo logical in the Category:L'enfilade de maisons en brique rouge de Yamachiche form. --Fralambert (talk) 13:02, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

Ah bin tiens ?[edit]

Meuh ?
