Well, I wonder if you can help me, recently I changed the colours and add borders that I forgot in my map File:Viceroyalty of New Spain Location 1819 (without Philippines).png (I'm the author of this map) but an user started an edit war [1], [2], [3], what can I do?, can you protect my map?. --Giggette (talk) 06:17, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

In this case, it seems you've uploaded over an existing map. The easiest way to get around this would be to simply upload your version as a separate file (under a new name). Then no one will have anything to revert back to. FunkMonk (talk) 06:21, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

OK, just look them please [4] and [5] and you can see the newest is biggest and I added more details ("not missing text there") probably because I removed the names of the viceroys on the sea but they were just moved. The newest is more detailed and bordered, and it has a similar style as my another map File:Mexico 1824 (equirectangular projection).png. Could you make a version without borders? Those are usually not recommended on Commons. Then I will protect the file, to prevent edit warring. Then a discussion might be started on the talkpage? FunkMonk (talk) 07:45, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

What?, are you suggesting that I must remove territorial boundaries? (borders), well I reported my case on Commons:Administrators_noticeboard but there's not an answer yet that's why I resquest your help in this please, there is already an edit war. --Giggette (talk) 07:57, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
