[edit] Redirect arrow
Olá Gangleri,
See Redirect arrow rtl.png, is this what you want ? -- Get_It • 22:08, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- One more thing, you can request a developer to change the redirect image at WP:AR ;)
- Cheers o/ -- Get_It • 23:07, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)
I have made this one, I removed the text, see if is this what you want. If you need anything else, let me know, I'll try to check my talk page every hour. -- Get_It • 21:33, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
[edit] commons:Commons:Village pump#RCBot
From fy: - same problem again: No reason given for the template. I realise language is an issue for many people on Wikimedia, but please, when writing to someone, write asif that person doesn't know what you are writing about and needs to get the exact purpose explained, since that is usually the case. Otherwise, like on fy:, you're just wasting time that could have been spent writing or editing articles. Aliter 00:42, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] GlobalWPSearch
- Halló Kandar! I do not know if you met GlobalWPSearch developed by de:Benutzer:Aka. With the "&minor=1"-option it searches articles with the same titlles in 50 Wikipedias based on latin type alphabest. So far su: is not included. See GlobalWPSearch Alfred Nobel, GlobalWPSearch Mahatma Gandhi, GlobalWPSearch Wikipedia. I would be happy If you can start an article about Alfred Nobel and Mahatma Gandhi. Please make redirects if you use other titles.
- You can see a conflict at
GlobalWPSearch Paris, GlobalWPSearch RSS,GlobalWPSearch Odinetc. - GlobalWPSearch supports already su:Template:Disambig and su:Template:Interwikiconflict. See de:Bild Diskussion:Logo Begriffsklärung.png#Vorlagen - Templates. It is planed to support also su:Template:Delete and su:Template:Copyvio. Would be happy if you can create the missing templates or make a redirect to the proper titles. Thanks in advance.
- See more about my work at lv:User talk:Juzeris#Interwiki guidelines and sk:Komentár k redaktorovi:Palica#Support.
- User:Richie and User:RCBot would be happy to have su:Template:NowCommons, see Commons:Village pump#RCBot. If you create last template please insert it at User:Gangleri/sandbox/Template:NowCommons. Thanks in advance! Gangleri 16:00, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
This is great! I found my username in the GlobalWPSearch for Alfred Nobel (I've just made a stub about Alfred Nobel in Sundanese), but I didn't found a link to Sundanese Wikipedia, how come? Kandar 03:28, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Halló Kandar! I am happy that you like GlobalWPSearch. de:Benutzer:Aka planed to make the querry for about 50 Wikipedias. I received a statistic from Erik Zachte who makes Wikipedia Statistics Sundanese. I suggested to Aka to include the Wikipedias (wikt latin alphabet) based on the number of articles per March 2005. Then su: would be included because the "threshold" was at 600 articles.
- Hoever I suggeste also to allow to queery for 49 fix and one selectable Wikipedia or 50-n fix and n selectable Wikipedias. Then everybody should have a "direct benefit" for the own Wikipedia. Implementation depends on time resources and "our whish list" is quite long. Best regards Gangleri | Th | T 06:53, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- P.S. See here some plans for / a part of "whishlist" regarding GlobalWPSearch. Gangleri | Th | T 07:08, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] PL to EN transliterations
Hallo! I guess I can catch you here. As far as your requests go, I did my best to provide you with transliterations and some examples. They are here: http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedysta:Selena_von_Eichendorf/Draft - put them wherever you intend to. But I might have problems doing the other things you asked for. I'll ask someone for help or maybe you keep in touch with someone else from Pl Wiki who can do it. At least I can't do it right away (I'm not very advanced in technical matters, you know, besides - I have plenty of things to do at work...). Best regards, Selena von Eichendorf 14:42, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC) (if you want to contact me, do it on Polish Wikipedia [2] - I hardly ever enter Commons). Bye!
[edit] Reply from Sundaland
Thank you for your "review" for our Sundanese edition of Wikipedia, I really appreciate your effort...
- about spacing in namespaces, thanks for your corrections/changes & explanation.
- the project namespace, unfortunately the Sundanese edition has no LanguangeSu.php file, so all of special namespaces has not been changed into our language (for example, Wikipedia vs Wikipédia, template vs citakan).
- the last item, "Maintenance of the MediaWiki namespace: What should upcoming Wikipedias know? What knowledge transfer from other Wikipedias is suitable?". Can you explain about it in more detail? Kandar 05:45, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hi Gangleri, What happened to your experimental multi-lingual user interface at Wikipage?
[edit] Re: licences
Hi Gangleri!
About the Redirect arrow without text.png, I don't see what the problem is, since the image is licensed under GPL. Try just to add the same information (authors + license) thats here on commons to the image description page on Wikitravel. That should do it.
If you need anything else, you know where to find me. Best regards, Get_It (Talk) 20:57, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
- Wikitravel uses a Creative Commons CC-by-SA version 1.0 licence. While the GPL and CC-by-SA licences both permit any text or image or other derived work to be redistributed, the conditions on how the works are redistributed are different. In both cases any text or image or other derived work distributed under such a licence must be redistributed under the same terms and conditions. This means that, strangely enough, a GPL text or image or other derived work cannot be redistributed under CC-by-SA, unless the authors of all the derivative works agree. Dual licensing under both licence systems appears to be the only current solution to this problem. However because your redirect arrow was sourced from MediaWiki software it may not be possible to relicence unless the original designer also dual licenced their work. If the image was taken from Wikitravel directly, and modified, that would be a different story - perhaps. To understand the problem read Wikitravel:Why Wikitravel isn't GFDL. -- Wikitravel:User:Huttite 06:20, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Images at Village pumps and Community portals
Hello, I was just wondering why you added this category to a couple of dozen images without bothering to create the category? (i.e, edit it so it belongs to a category as well) Generally we try to categorise things by their content, not by how they are used. Cheers, pfctdayelise (translate?) 14:42, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Abstʀakt.png. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-3.0}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you.

Man spricht deutsh! Ich habe versucht, Deine Graphiken in Tabellen umzusetzen. Das Ergebnis findest Du unten.
