Hello Gigillo83!

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.

To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.

You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.

The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!

Thank you. BotMultichillT (talk) 05:52, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Grazie --ZioNicco (talk) 16:15, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

French road signs[edit]

Hello. To answer to your question, you can find all priority signs of France here : here. The sign about roudabouts is France road sign AB25.svg. There is also a sign about the queues, but, it's a temporary sign (see here) and I have not yet drawn these signes. May be later.Roulex 45 (talk) 16:07, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Immagini FS[edit]

Ciao.

Italian road signs you marked as duplicates[edit]

Hello Gigillo83,

you marked several similar Italian roadsigns as duplicates. For example: File:Nuova Strada Anas 318.svg is marked as a duplicate of File:Nuova Strada Statale 318 Italia.svg. But these files are not exact duplicates, because they use different fonts (letters), so I cannot delete them as duplicates. Which of those signs are the correct versions using the correct font? Once I know that, I can delete the other, incorrect set. Regards --Rosenzweig δ 16:48, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Hello Gigillo83,
thank you for your answer. I see now that it wasn't you who marked the files as duplicates, but someone else, my mistake to think it had been you. Anyway, what should we do about those Italian road sign files that are now marked as duplicates (see Category:Duplicate, page 2)? Simply keep them since because they are not exact duplicates? Regards --Rosenzweig δ 20:51, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
I'm a bit confused now. You wrote "all the .svg files marked ad duplicated are correct...the "original" files are wrong". But why, then, are the "wrong" files in use at the Italian wikipedia (it:Strade statali in Italia (NSA), for example]]), and the "correct" files are not in use? I thought one would use the correct ones, not the wrong ones. Regards --Rosenzweig δ 16:38, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Hello Gigillo83,
with so many uncertainties, I've decided to simply remove all the duplicate tags and not delete any files. When this is sorted out and there are any incorrect, unused files that should be deleted, please file a deletion request. Regards --Rosenzweig δ 10:37, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Vettorializzare immagini[edit]

Vorrei anch'io a mettermi a vettorializzare immagini, quindi ti chiedo delle domande:

  • Usi Inkscape o qualche altro software?

--Greenyellowcable (talk) 15:52, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

-- Gi87 (talk) 20:18, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Segnaletica stradale temporanea in Italia[edit]

-- Gi87 (talk) 12:44, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Nuovi segnali stradali italiani[edit]

;-) -- Gi87 (talk) 20:40, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Grazie.

Segnaletica per varchi autostradali[edit]

So trovando difficoltà a scovare nuovi pdf sulla segnaletica stradale in altri Stati europei.

-- Gi87 (talk) 19:06, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Segnali identificazione strade europee[edit]

Ad esempio: {{rename|Italian traffic signs - strada europea 06.svg|Uploader request}}

Grazie! --Luckok (talk) 13:55, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

Ciao. Come Luckok.
--T137(talk) 11:28, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
Tutto chiarito. Buon lavoro! --T137(talk) 11:42, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Road signs red hue[edit]

My personal opinion is that the red hue used in your road sign .svgs (for example B30.12.svg)is too blue. Are you sure you want to use that color?

GregorDS (talk) 16:02, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

It could be that each country has their own red hue. I live in Sweden and to me a hue that seems better is RGB: 222,0,0 (you have 222, 0, 41)

File:Italian referendum 1946 support for republic it.svg[edit]

The map shows the outcome of the referendum: blue=republic, red=monarchy, with violet-hues in between as per percentage of the vote. Please do not use different colors for northern and southern Italy. In fact there were provinces like Cuneo and Lazio, where the outcome was nearly 50%.

If you want to show where the border between pro-Monarchy and pro-Repubblica is, you may make a separate map.--Sajoch (talk) 18:52, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Ciao Gigillo.

Road signs of Denmark[edit]

Do you intend to complete all the Danish road signs? If you don't have time, I can finish them for you. Fry1989 eh? 02:31, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Not sure I know which ones you mean. Could you refer to them by their category letters? A, B, C, D, E, F.....? But I will be happy to help. Fry1989 eh? 18:09, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
I am so sorry, but I won't be able to help you after all. Something came up and I won't have the time to do it properly for a week or two. I'll be able to help with categories though. I wish I could do more. Fry1989 eh? 20:25, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

Altre mappe provinciali[edit]

Your use of {{Superceded}}[edit]

You have inserted {{Superceded}} on a number of files pertaining to Danish traffic signs. Specifically:

  1. File:Denmark City limit sign begin.svg => File:Denmark road sign E55.svg
  2. File:Denmark City limit sign end.svg => File:Denmark road sign E56.svg
  3. File:Denmark traffic border sign.svg => File:Denmark road sign E80.svg
  4. File:Motorway DK S.svg => File:Denmark road sign E42.svg

For number one and two your font rendering seems to be somewhat off, compared to the real versions. Especially the 'y' and the 'g' seems to have lost some gauge. For number three you have made it off an old version, which was replaced at least a couple of years ago with the E80+UE80 version (E80 and UE80 combined into one). See the real life version on Google Earth for yourself. For the last one the green colour seems completely off. You appear to have used the RAL 6032 version, however you need to find one that is much more "lime" RAL 6019 in accordance with the Danish Standards on Colours for identification purposes (DS 735:1982). While it is admirable that you have put such a large effort into Danish road signs, you do seem to have done so on a somewhat less educate base (Daluiso is a private company and not government body by the way), so I have undone your insertions of {{Superceded}} in the above mentioned files. --heb [T C E] 14:08, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your message. I haven't found any official model with Danish road signs, so I have used, as a base for making Danish road signs, the Vejdirektoratetmodel (I didn't know what it is). Do you have a pdf source with all official Danish road signs? So I can use this as model to make other signs. I'm in Italy, so I have used models of the Vejdirektoratet... I supposed they are official signs... Let me know! Thank you! --Gigillo83 (talk) 16:37, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
It's a bit more tricky than as such. For a start Vejdirektoratet is a such the The Danish Road Directorate so as such, there is nothing wrong in using them as a source. However the list of road sign figures (in Danish tavleoversigt) that you have used as a source, is not a reference material as such but only for information purposes, used by i.e. traffic schools and such. I can fully appreciate how that might confuse foreigners :)
For colours on reflective road signs, the reference document is the Afmærkningsmateriel - AAB, specifically the figure Figur 6. Farvetrekant med de specificerede farveområder for tavlefolier type 3, 4 og 5 indtegnet., which shows the CIE xy color diagram. As a little curio, the Danish Road Authorities actually previously used (PDF page 109) the Munsell color system, where red was 5R 4/12, blue was 5PB 2/8, yellow was 10YR 7/12 and green didn't even exist :) I don't know when it was introduced, but the first motorway was opened in 1956 - three years after the linked publication, so probably sometime around that. A have a list, which I honestly don't remember the source of, that describes the colours as RAL 1003 (yellow), RAL 2009 (orange/brown), RAL 3020 (red), RAL 6017 (green, sorry I erroneously wrote 6019 last time :() and RAL 5017 (blue). Since these RAL colours are meant for presentations on reflective foil, they aren't quite comparably for monitor use, but I unfortunatly don't have corresponding RGB colours (you can see how testing is done for road signs in Denmark here, search for Bilag 1 and find the figure). In my experience however using RAL colours on screen doesn't serve purpose very well, and it is better to use more "clear" colours, as they give a better depiction of the signage. I think we have a reference card for printing versus monitor RGB colours lying somewhere, so if you are interested I can try to see if I can get my hands on it and find corresponding RGB (monitor) and CMYK (print) for the RAL colours?
For the figures themselves, including dimensions and such there are two publications that you need to look into: Bekendtgørelse om vejafmærkning and Færdselstavler: Tavleoversigt.
The font used is a proprietary font called Dansk Vejtavleskrift, which I don't think is publicly available. As far as I have been able to google, it is based on DIN 1451 Mittelschrift which I suppose can be used with a few tweaks.
I'm sorry for not being more helpful on the figures and fonts, but my main interest is in the colours. I still hope it will give you a working point. Please answer or ask questions here, as it makes readability are bit more easy and I will watch your page for a couple of weeks or so. In kind regards, heb [T C E] 08:07, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your answer...I've make a new version of the motorway road sign...please take look and tell me if the new version (made with the RAL colour 6017) is correct or not. Instead for the sign E80, I've noted that actually is made also with the EU80, but also on the paper you've written to me is only with the speed limit and the panel is onother riad sign, used above the main sign but separate...doesn't it? Thank you again!! --Gigillo83 (talk) 12:45, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
The motorway road sign (E 42) looks much more correct now. Did you find a conversion table between RAL and RGB?
The signs UE xx are sub panels (in Danish undertavle, hence the U). The main panel and the sub panel may be manufactured as either two separate panels making up one sign, or as one sign. The main panels (here E 80) may be used alone, or with the addition of the sub panels (E 80 + UE 80), but the sub panels (here UE 80) may not be used alone. As far as I know, all occurrences of E 80 has been replaced with E 80 + UE 80 versions, as in the case of the Kruså border crossing. --heb [T C E] 06:04, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I've found a converetr ([:http://www.pats.ch/formulaire/unites/unites11.aspx here]), so I've made the motorway sign in this way. If you tell me that is now correct I can proceed in making also other road sign. For the border sign, in next days I'll make a version using also UE panel... hoping that it's correct. I suppose you're Danish: can you kindly indicate to me also the road signs in Faer Oer and in Greenlad, so I can make also those? Because all text are in Danish and I can't understand your language... :) Thank you a lot! --Gigillo83 (talk) 14:26, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
It looks good and correct as far as I can tell. And yes: I am Danish :) Vejdirektoratet is also the road sign authority on Greenland and Faroe Islands, so the basic signs are the same. However as with other municipalities of Denmark, they are also allowed to make their own signs (which needs to be approved by the police), which you won't find in these documents. I have been tried to search but didn't find any lists, but I remember both a sheep warning sign from the Faroe Islands and a helicopter landing pad sign from Greenland, that doesn't appear here. I don't have any photos of them, but there is one on Wikipedia of the rather famous No tanks sign put up by the Allerød Municipality in the early 2000s. But in general: It's the same (neither Greenland nor Faore Islands has any motorways though :)). --heb [T C E] 20:11, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

Simboli NSA duplicati[edit]

Ciao Gigillo.

--Fabyrav (talk) 17:31, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

Hungarian road signs[edit]

I'm so excited to see you upload the warning signs. Do you intend to upload them all? I have found they are available here. Also, would you mind if I rename the signs so they all match their sign names? For example, File:KRESZ-82.svg would be renamed to "Hungary road sign A-052". Fry1989 eh? 21:13, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Wonderful! And I would love to help, upload all the ones you feel you can do, and I'll finish up the others when you are done. I will also rename the warning signs so they all match the new naming convention. Thanks! Fry1989 eh? 17:22, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
Have you finished uploading the signs you want to? I can start working on the rest of them if you are finished. Fry1989 eh? 18:04, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
Sounds good, I will take care of F, H and I. Fry1989 eh? 00:12, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
This is very strange, I tried downloading the documents and the signs are no longer in SVG, they're blurry JPEG and I can't edit them. I don't know what happened. Fry1989 eh? 18:03, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
I downloaded the documents last week and I am sure they were all in SVG, but now only the prohibitory and mandatory signs are SVG and all the others are blurry. I would like to have all the documents, if you still have copies. Fry1989 eh? 16:57, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
I emailed you using Commons email service. You can send me the document to my email. Thank you. Fry1989 eh? 18:04, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
I received it, thank you very much. I will get to work on sections F, H and I. Fry1989 eh? 18:54, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
Hi, sorry to bother you but just one other note. I'm going to re-license all the signs to PD-HU-exempt instead of PD-ineligible. Some signs are very complicated and may not be ineligible for copyright, but PD-HU-exempt will mean they are all PD and safe from deletion. Fry1989 eh? 19:24, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

New Belgian traffic signs[edit]

Hi Gigillo83, last year you helped me out with the new Belgian traffic signs B22 and B23. Now there are again some new signs, F45b (here), and F111/F113 (here). Could you convert these traffic signs into SVG? I would be very kind of you. Regards, Timk70 (talk) 20:14, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

I also found a couple of missing Austrian raod signs, these here (9e, 9f, 26, 27, 28a, 28b). These signs can also be found here in PDF. I don't know if you can make Austrain SVG signs too? --Timk70 (talk) 23:37, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for creating and uploading the new signs! May I point out that the Belgian signs F111/F113 contain a little mistake. The word is correctly spelled fietsstraat, your uploads say fietstraat. The other Belgian and all the Austrain are okay, thanks! --Timk70 (talk) 22:23, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
