Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. --Siebrand 19:01, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Mr. Morgan, you need to select a license for the photo you uploaded. If this is truly your own work, may I suggest {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} or {{pd-self}}? Cbrown1023 talk 19:11, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Flag_of_Helsinki.PNG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Cbrown1023 talk 19:45, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

For this image, use {{Information}} to tell the author, the date of creation, the source, and the license it may be used under. Fill in the following fields:
{{Information
|Description =
|Source =
|Date =
|Author =
|Permission = (optional, returns "see below" if nothing is filled in)
|other_versions = (optional variable, can be left out)
}}

and put a license below it. If you still don't get it afterwards, just tell me the information on my talk page and I will help you fit it into the template. Cbrown1023 talk 19:16, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

I have altered the image page based on what you have described, please review my change. Cbrown1023 talk 00:19, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

The image does not have a source on English Wikipedia, and its uploader has not claimed to be the author.

Don't discourage use of your talk page[edit]

I see the notice you've placed at the top of your talk page. Please note that this is not a very helpful request. It's impossible to use Commons talk page templates anywhere but Commons, and discussions about Commons-related activities belong on Commons, not anywhere else. If you don't wish to monitor your Commons talk page actively, you may activate e-mail notifications for when you have new messages here. LX (talk, contribs) 20:03, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

All I suggest is that someone who wishes to contact me sends the message here (as in at my commons talkpage) but sends me a quick message on the Latin Wikipedia telling me that I have a message. Otherwise I will not know there has been any message. After the message has been sent, I can come to the commons and discuss the 'related activities'. Special:Preferences -> User Profile, under the E-mail heading, there's a checkbox labeled "E-mail me when my user talk page is changed". Just check that, and people won't have to take an extra step just to contact you (which I agree with LX, is pretty ridiculous to request; I wouldn't have a problem with it, since I've got a Latin account, but I can understand someone not wanting to broadcast their IP or register for a wiki they'll never visit again). Are you happy - i.e. with my new message - I need to use the commons more frequently now anyway :) --Harris Morgan 23:06, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi, you forgot to transfer the licence and the original upload lot from en.wikipedia. I corrected the upload using the commons helper (http://toolserver.org/~magnus/commonshelper.php). --Martin H. (talk) 15:19, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
