[edit] Botanical duplicates

Hi, it is not necessary to have the same photo in the gallery article and the Category of the botanical plant. The article or gallery name only goesin the Category, the photo goes in the gallery. I have changed a few for you. WayneRay 10:24, 20 June 2007 (UTC)WayneRay

Ok, thank you. I don't know all rules of placing pictures in commons. I will try not to make dublicate photos in categories in the future. Hugo.arg 16:52, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, but as a note, if there is no gallery, please leave a copy in the category, someone else may create a page or place it somewhere appropriate.Great photos though. WayneRay 19:43, 20 June 2007 (UTC)WayneRay
Most all of the photos you are putting in Categories DO HAVE galleries. Plese only put your photos in the galleries if there is one, not the categories, Thanks you WayneRay 20:08, 23 July 2007 (UTC)WayneRya

OK, no problem. Hugo.arg 20:13, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Agawa River

Hello. Thanks for nominating my Image:Agawa River, Ontario.jpg photo as a featured picture candidate. I am honoured; thank you! The person who said the image was not tilted but that the tree is really crooked is quite correct. If you look at my other photo of the canyon ( en:Image:Agawa Canyon, Ontario.jpg, you can see the same super-tilted tree near the centre of the image. --Kralizec! 02:01, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Thank YOU for these great photos! I like very much landscapes with rivers so I nominated this one, unfortunately some voters voted against. I wish you good luck to take such nice picture that it would be voted as featured :) Hugo.arg 08:35, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Snaputis001.JPG

Dear Hugo.arg, your above image cannot show Geranium sylvaticum but very probably Geranium sanguineum. I moved it there. My reasons for this can be found on the discussion page of the image. I did not change your personal gallery page, however. So you might do this and also check my changes because I only contribute a few changes time and again to Wikipedia or the Wikimedia pages - or complain (here or by mail, see http://www.flogaus-faust.de/bc/mail.htm) if you think that moving your images was a bad thing to do. Thank you! Robert Flogaus-Faust 62.134.80.97 21:03, 29 August 2008 (UTC).

Hello Hugo.arg!

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Commons images are used by editors on many projects in many languages. Each image is put into categories. This helps other editors find them. Please add categories to each image you upload.

To add an image to a category, add the following code to the end of the page.

[[Category:Category Name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbit of comets, add the following to the image description page:

[[Category:Astronomy diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories: Astronomy diagrams, Comets.

For further information on categories read Commons:Categories.

The CommonSense Tool often helps you find the best category for your image.

Here is a gallery of your images. Please check that each image has a category. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the help desk. Thank you.
