RE:Let It Roll[edit]

I just reply to a message on the discussion page, but the message is in Portuguese. Its you answer me? Rapper Ouriço (talk) 13:33, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

No, I don't know any Portuguese. Jahoe (talk) 13:42, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
According to the pages' history that message was created by yourself. No idea what happened. Jahoe (talk) 13:46, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
Actually, I've tried to translate into English, but I do not know how to put a copyright license. Could you teach me, please? Rapper Ouriço (talk) 13:50, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
Unfortunately editing the copyright tag won't help. You can't upload cover art to commons, because it's non-free media. If the image is for an article on the English wikipedia, you might be able to upload it there in low resolution with a "fair use" rationale. Jahoe (talk) 13:59, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Autopatrol given[edit]

Commons Autopatrolled.svg

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically sighted. This will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to help users watching Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones. Thank you. Thanks, I'm flattered. :) Jahoe (talk) 08:21, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Belgian eID card.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or send an email with copy of a written permission to OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). This also applies if you are the author yourself.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, and Commons:Permission if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own.

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the OTRS-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Belgian eID card.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Deletions[edit]

Why you nominated for deletion all my Ebay stills? I'm not uploaded whey to promote an eBay auction, see another ebay images. --Alrofficial (talk) 05:57, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

You've listed eBay as source for these images, but of course they were uploaded there from another source. Without proper source and author information there is no reason to assume these file are in the public domain, making them unacceptable for commons. Jahoe (talk) 12:30, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
Many users upload images from ebay, like this and this.--Alrofficial (talk) 12:41, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

File:OpenLayers screenshot.png[edit]

Commons-emblem-issue.svg File:OpenLayers screenshot.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hallo Jahoe, I wondering a bit about your changes there. So is there any reference to remove the border-lines? All official refs seems to show with:[1],[2] User: Perhelion (Commons: = crap?) 08:15, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
