Thanks for uploading File:Harnisch card.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Harnisch card.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Critically evaluate Flickr licenses
File:Harnisch card.jpg has been marked as a copyright violation. You may have preserved the information shown on Flickr correctly when transferring the image here, but the Flickr uploader is not the copyright holder of this image. Either the image was created by someone else, or it is a derivative of someone else's work. As stated in Commons:Licensing, only the copyright holder may issue a license, so the one shown on Flickr is invalid. Always remember to critically evaluate Flickr licenses. Photostreams with professional-looking photographs, album covers, posters, and images in a wide range of styles or quality taken by many different cameras often indicate that the Flickr uploader either does not understand or does not care about copyright matters. See Commons:Questionable Flickr images for a list of known bad Flickr users.

A file that you uploaded to Wikimedia Commons from Flickr, File:Hugo Swire and Shotaro Yachi.jpg, was found available on Flickr by an administrator or reviewer under the license Noncommercial (NC), No derivative works (ND), or All Rights Reserved (Copyright), which isn't compatible with Wikimedia Commons, per the licensing policy. The file has been deleted. Commons:Flickr files/Appeal for license change has information about sending the Flickr user an appeal asking for the license to be changed. Only Flickr images tagged as BY (CC BY), BY SA (CC BY-SA), CC0 (CC0) and PDM (PDM) are allowed on Wikimedia Commons. If the Flickr user has changed the license of the Flickr image, feel free to ask an administrator to restore the file, or start an undeletion request.

What about uploading something with that permission to Wikipedia directly? --Jprg1966 (talk) 15:22, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Flickr files under non-commercial (NC) or non-derivative (ND), as well as images marked as All Rights Reserved (Copyright) are neither accepted on Wikipedia nor on Commons. See for example w:WP:CSD#F3. --Stefan4 (talk) 13:39, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK, well now I know. Thanks for your help. --Jprg1966 (talk) 16:53, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Jeffrey Rosen[edit]

Hi, I saw the edit you made over at the English Wikipedia. I had noticed the original erroneous edit on that page because when you Google "Jeffrey Rosen" his is the page that comes up most prominently. No doubt this was the reason for the confusion and I think it would be desirable to rename these pages. Most media coverage doesn't include Rosen's middle initial, so the better way to disambiguate him from other Jeffrey Rosens would be with a parenthetical such as "government official" and the other Rosen being moved to "academic" so people will not get confused. Could be argued the likely Deputy Attorney General is significant enough to make it the main target page without a parenthetical instead, but doing that might require administrator assistance.--The Devil's Advocate (talk) 03:32, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Devil's Advocate, I agree. I assume those pages will be moved in relatively short order. --Jprg1966 (talk) 03:55, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
