Hello, and welcome to the Commons! Does Image:Marmotmtn.jpg show the peak of Mount Bierstadt? If so, the photo could be added to that article. User:dbenbenn 21:09, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Yes it does, and I noticed that a lot of mountains (e.g. w:The Sawtooth,w:Humboldt Peak) lack both photos and articles, so I'm going to work on them when I have the time.
- Image:Crestone peak 2.jpg is a great picture. I added it to w:Crestone Peak. But then I saw that Image:Kit Carson 2.jpg is the same pic! So, do you know whether that's Crestone or Kit Carson? User:dbenbenn 00:22, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- Oops! Yeah, it's Crestone Peak--Keflavich 03:09, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, Image:Crestone peak 2.jpg is definitely Crestone Peak. I made the mistake the first time I uploaded it and forgot to delete it... or more likely, I didn't know how to delete it, since I don't know how to delete. Anyway, you can tell that it's from Kit Carson as opposed to Challenger Point because of the rocks in the foreground. Or at least, I can, because I was there =). Thanks for pointing that out & adding it to the wikipedia page... I must've gotten sidetracked. --Keflavich 03:00, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- To get an image deleted, you can tag it with {{Speedy delete}}. Make sure to include an explanation of why you want it deleted. User:dbenbenn 16:48, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Herbig-Haro[edit]
Check this out w:Image:HH47 animation.gif
- You have deleted licensing here http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:800px-HH47_animation.gif but I stated license after [1]
- That license does not apply to that image. --Keflavich 18:47, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

File:Redsquarenebula.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Keflavich. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Keflavich~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
