License review for images transferred from external sites[edit]

Hi. I see you have been transferring images to Commons from external sites such as Photozou. You might not have known, but you need to add the template {{LicenseReview}} after the license information to request a review by other admins or reviewers. (Reviewing is normally performed automatically by a bot for images from Flickr or Picasa, but is performed manually for images from other sites such as Photozou.) The reason this is especially important is that, if the owner of the original image subsequently removes the image or changes the license to a non-free license, and the license at the time the image was uploaded to Commons was not verified by another person, it will become a copyright violation and have to be deleted, which obviously is not something we want to happen. If the image license has been verified at the time it was uploaded to Commons, then the license will remain valid regardless of what happens to the original image and its license. I have just now tagged three SL Ginga images you uploaded last year, including File:JNR C58 239 20140721 002.jpg, but I would recommend you go back through the list of images you have uploaded from Photozou (or other external sites) and add the {{LicenseReview}} template after the license details. Usually within a few hours or days, another admin or reviewer will confirm the license. I know it will take a bit of time, but it's essential to ensure that the images are safeguarded against any future problems. Thanks, and thanks for your work in uploading Photozou files to Commons. --DAJF (talk) 13:44, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
