Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Commons images are used by editors on many projects in many languages. Each image is put into categories. This helps other editors find them. Please add categories to each image you upload.

To add an image to a category, add the following code to the end of the page.

[[Category:Category Name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbit of comets, add the following to the image description page:

[[Category:Astronomy diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories: Astronomy diagrams, Comets.

For further information on categories read Commons:Categories.

The CommonSense Tool often helps you find the best category for your image.

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. I notice that you have uploaded Image:Midori.png and at the same time replaced an older one. I think you should know that this is only allowed when the two images are almost exactly alike. Here in Commons we would like to host as many different, useful versions as possible for Wikimedia projects to choose from. Hello.

Please see Commons:Trabajos derivados.

If you make a screenshot of a program, you must specify the licensing of the elements which are seen there. For example, if the icons are under CC BY-SA 2.5, they stay under CC BY-SA 2.5 even if embedded in another image. If the program is under GNU GPL v2 only, and the screenshot contains some of GPLed text from the program, the text stays under GNU GPL v2 only, and does not become public domain even if you release your screenshot creation rights into the public domain. You cannot release a screenshot including CC BY-SA -licensed icons under GNU FDL without saying explicitly what license the icons are under. People will be confused and infringe copyright on icons unintentionally.
If a non-free image is shown in a screenshot, the screenshot is not completely free. Only non-free Wikipedia logos are permitted, except for photos where a small non-free logo appears incidentally on, for example, a partially seen T-shirt. The Ubuntu logo is not free.

Also, please do not overwrite others’ files. You have uploaded a screenshot of Amarok 2.0 over my screenshot of Amarok 1.4.9, although the file name contained "1.4.9" and the description said the screenshot is made by me. There is also a CD cover image or something like that in the screenshot. If the cover is not under a free license, you cannot include it in a free screenshot.

Thanks, but still please do not overwrite my screenshot. My screenshot is named with a name which says it is 1.4.9, and if you upload your screenshot into the same place, the name will stay with 1.4.9. Also, the "eo" means "Esperanto".
