Hallo Madden, die SVG-Version Image:Coa de-thueringen.svg hat noch Fehler, wenn sie dargestellt wird, namentlich ziemlich hässliche Streifen auf der rechten (bzw. heraldisch linken) Seite. Wenn man die Originaldatei anschaut, sind sie nicht da, wohl aber bei den von der Commons-Software generierten Thumbnails. Bis das nicht behoben ist, sollte die PNG-Datei behalten und benutzt werden. ...Sehe ich ein, da aber unglaublich viele mit IE arbeiten, sollte eine Lösung gefunden werden, die alle befriedigt - und da sehe ich noch kein Land. Da ich in den letzten Wochen einige Bundesländer systematisch nach Wappen durchforstet und selbst einige hundert eingestellt hatte, kann ich Dir versichern, dass dies das erste Wappen mit grauen Rändern war, was ich hier überhaupt gesehen habe (mit IE), weitere über 1.000 Wappen sehen tadellos aus (ein Beispiel der von mir erstellten Wappenlisten: de:Benutzer:Rauenstein/Wappen_MV). gruss Geograv 06:13, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Schau dir doch nur mal alle Wappen in der Kategorie "SVG coats of arms" an; da siehst du, dass alle PNG-Grafiken, die von der Wikisoftware aus SVG-Grafiken mit transparenten Bereichen erstellt wurden, genau diese grauen Flächen aufweisen. Die von dir beigetragenen Wappen sind mit diesen hier gar nicht zu vergleichen, da sie nicht einmal transparente Flächen haben, bei denen der IE-Darstellungsfehler auftreten könnte. Stattdessen liegen die Wappen auf weißem Hintergrund, was meiner Meinung nach bspw. auf grauem oder anderfarbigem Hintergrund grässlich aussieht. Außerdem benutzt bestimmt weit weniger als die Hälfte der Internetnutzer den Internet Explorer. Sollen wir die fortschrittliche Technik hinten an stellen und uns der angeblichen Herrschaft des Überholten beugen? • Madden 11:35, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Nein, wie alle technischen Änderungen machen sie erst dann Sinn, wenn sie kompatibel zu möglichst vielen benutzten Browsern sind (und dazu gehört wohl noch der IE - selbst wenn es weniger als die Hälfte der Internetuser wären, sind das einige Millionen). Warum nun bisherige den Ansprüchen vollauf genügende png-Wappen den svg-basierten weichen sollen, ist mir noch vollkommen unklar. Genauso unklar, wie ein dunklerer Hintergrund im Artikelraum, auf dem ein weißer Wappenrand erscheinen könnte. Solche Art Farbspielereien mögen im Namensraum relevant sein, bei den Hauptartikeln, die die Wappen verwenden, ganz sicher nicht. gruss Geograv 06:06, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi, der Wappen und die Flage von Niedersachsen scheinen irgendwie nach den letzten Änderungen vom 26. Februar beschädigt zu sein. Siehe: pl:Dolna Saksonia. Früher waren diese als Thumnails sichtbar.

You have used rectangles instead path in the same way like me, you have added ids and you wrote 'code to avoid white stripes after scaling'. I have created file, where it is not possile to see colored lines around flag after scaling in Opera, Adobe SVG Viewer. No, your version is good, but in Opera or Adobe SVG Viewer is line at the outer border, when it is downscaled. I thought that you want to "repair" this parsing error. :) -xfi- 12:58, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Originally I wanted to repair those lines which are based on transparency effects after scaling to a ratio that doesn't fit to the image, which are within the flag between the stripes or the like (like I did at the flag of Germany for instance). But I didn't see any stripes at the outer borders and still don't on any flag. Have you got a screenshot or a flag example where you see this? --Madden 13:50, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Is it possible that you could revert the changes in the Puerto Rico flag to the darker blue, as is the official version? The Puerto Rico Government uses this versions, hence it is the official one. The flag of the Maghreb Arab Union that you made a while back, the one that you sourced to Flags of the World?

Unfortunately, it seems that it's not found anywhere else (except FOTW mirrors and WP mirrors). This includes the MAU's official website... and the MAU's physical headquarters in Rabat. So the image will have to go as "unverifiable". Sorry. DragonflySixtyseven (talk) 01:36, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
