Hi. why do you think that this image is an "Unfree screenshot"? I'm the creator of both images, the watermark and the screenshot, I take this videotape in a miniDV camera the past November in Mexico, I was included the watermark for my own decision, however, I left the licence to redistribute and modify the image under the licence indicated. I'll to proceed to revert you delete request because you can't demonstrate that I'm not the creator. --Mexicumbia (talk) 13:59, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey!. why do you insist in left the delete requets list????, I can demonstrate for each image that I've the original material o resources, images, or pics that I used in my account, really aren't just that you try to destroy all my effort and time invested in this works only somebody think "I'm not believe that him self-made the works", come on, how can demonstrate that you images are not yours? If I think that is not yours, simply I put a delete request, however, is really yours, but I think that is not true.
Please, I wrote the license information in each image when I uploaded the images, what do you want? a video film where I appears creating the images? come on!!, repeat, I wrote the licence for each image and date the sources, if you think that is not completely, please, specify in each image, the missing details.
--Mexicumbia (talk) 18:59, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, responding to the injust aseverations about the legacy of my images, I was proceed to update the information about sources and versions without watermarks, the reason of this controverse, I hope with this, quit the Delete Request soon. Greetings for all. --Mexicumbia (talk) 00:22, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

done from my point. --Martin H. (talk) 21:11, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

My batgirl image

hey idiot

This image is not violating copyright, so put it again, maybe you are jealous that I upload better images and you not. --hanita123 (talk) 22:00, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Flickr user with invalid license

Hey, I was wondering if you'd be able to check on this user's Flickr images. It's just a fan uploading his favorite photos that he's found, but he's doing it with a license that allows them to be uploaded here, when they shouldn't be. And I know this because he uploaded several of my personally taken photos to his stream (that I've already had removed). So that, with many of them also of a clearly professional level, should be enough to get him on the banned Flickr user list. Thanks. Mshake3 (talk) 04:07, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the info, i will check it. --Martin H. (talk) 04:17, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

User:Jujujuanma

Hi Martin H, I have problem with all the pictures uploaded by User:Jujujuanma. In October 2008 I requested the deletion of the photos after proving that come from various sites, especially the government of Formosa (http://www.ciudaddeformosa.gov.ar/ -->See "Imagenes" link), who did not authorize its use. I ask you if you can delete them all. Thanks. Alakasam (talk) 11:43, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

I will have a look on them, i see that i marked File:Fsagearth.jpg as "missing permission". This image is not missing permission, it is from GoogleEarth and nonfree. I ask myself why i did not deleted it speedy. --Martin H. (talk) 12:25, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Maybe here's another copyvio Image:Skylineformosa.jpg comes from http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/874/520493ba9xi7ok6.jpg except for the "onfinite.com" label. What do you think. Alakasam (talk) 14:33, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

I think: Yes. Open your and our in two tabs and compare them by switching from on to the other shows, that our image is blurred and that only the watermark is cropped. Is it from Skyscrapercity? Please compare the dates of the post there. If the image is posted elswhere earlyer the image on Commons is a 100% copyvio. --Martin H. (talk) 14:41, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks For the help. One more query, how do i associate my photographs with a particular page? For example this picture is needed to be associated with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HAL_Tejas . Is it on my discretion or Wiki'S?

My Photos

I don't understand why every photo was removed when you only had a problem with one. The pictures uploaded were placed on Simple English Wikipedia and now the articles about them have no photos. Liam.gloucester (talk) 23:27, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

So what you are saying is, because the photo was taken with an expensive camera and appears on other websites, it is not my own? How do you know I did not take the photo? You assume I do not have the means to take a good photo or afford an expensive camera. Liam.gloucester (talk) 02:51, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
done, exactly. answered on your talkpage. --Martin H. (talk) 20:19, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
That is insulting. Perhaps you forgot to read my user page, which clearly states that I am a photographer. A professional and capable one at that. If you'll notice, both the M.I.A. and Franz Ferdinand photos are against a similar background. They are both my style, and because you cannot grasp the concept of a person taking a professional photograph of a public or perhaps even *gasp* famous person/band, you automatically delete the uploaded files. This is not "done," and is no where near finished. If you Google "Barack Obama," you'll find one of the first results to be Barack Obama standing in front of the Capitol, arms crossed and smiling. I suppose since that was the first item to appear on a Google, it also was not taken by anyone and the photographer does not hold the license. I plan on uploading the photographs of M.I.A. and Franz Ferdinand until you have true reasons to stop me. Thank you for your time. Liam.gloucester (talk) 04:24, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
I don't exactly consider Google.com "research." Google will inform you that 9-11 was committed by terrorists, and that it was committed by our own Government; it will inform you that George W. Bush won the elections of 200 and that Al Gore won the elections of 200, both in a landslide; it will tell you Belgium is not a country, and that Belgium is a European Nation. The results of a Google search are self-contradictory and falsified, and cannot be trusted. I assume Tom Corbett is also the author of the Harry Potter series and is Iraq's most notorious leader; he is definitely not the photographer of either the M.I.A. or Franz Ferdinand photographs. You cannot and clearly do not know the truth unless you were present at the studio, MY studio, Queensbrook Studio. Liam.gloucester (talk) 21:35, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Closed, this tread is infected with trolleritis. Dont feed the troll or he will claim authorship on your photos Sorry for beeing offensive, but im realy not interested on long discursive discussion on nothing. --Martin H. (talk) 23:49, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
What, are you 6 years old? I'm going to state simply, I've had a very negative experience with Wikimedia Commons. I wish there was someone older than a toddler available for taking comments. Liam.gloucester (talk) 14:48, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: File:AyeletZurer.jpg

You recently sent me a image deletion warning for File:AyeletZurer.jpg. The picture was deleted before I even had a chance to read your message. I could have changed the licence, yet you did not give me a chance to. Please notify me, or anyone else, before you go ahead and delete their picture or any other type of media.
Thank you,

RE: File:LCUnderworld.jpg

Well, that's because I don't know anything about licenses and, as that image was in the English Wikipedia, I thought it had something to do with te free use in the USA. I took it from there as a mere translation of the article "Tomb Raider: Underworld". So, what kind of license does that image have? I have more of a digital camera outside mobile camera. My father is a sports journalist so I have many pictures of football. I do not like to speculate! If you have any picture with copyright infringement, point it and withdraws one by one, and not all at once. I hope that such mistakes are not repeated because I was once punished by copyright and learned my lesson, and I do not want to punish me for something I did. Warning given! Hello, I added the cat of the Italian ambassador in both pics. So I'd say at least in one of the pics all relevant persons are identified. (Relevant in the meaning of quality of the depiction.) In the other one there's one person left to identify in the second row, but I guess that he is not part of the Italian delegation. What do you think can I remove the cat "politicians of Italy" there as well? Thanks for your help with the deletion case. Usances over here are quite different. Dear Admin Martin, This image here: File:Arothron hispidus.jpg was PASSED by the Flickr review bot in 2006 as "cc by 2.0" when it was first uploaded on Commons. Please see this edit and the image file history. I don't know why someone asked for another flickr review---but the image was uploaded freely onto Commons. I have added the 'Flickr-change-of-license' tag...but you should pass it as an Admin. The evidence is from flickrbot itself.

Sometime between 2006 and 2008, the flickr owner changed the licensed to "all rights reserved." But once images are passed on Commons by flickrbot, they are copyright free and can be used on Commons...like FlickrLickr images. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 00:05, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

OTRS review

Hi Pymouss44, can you give the Ticket 2009021610037241 a short review? The ticket is for File:Bernardkouchnerericchevallier.jpg and File:Echevallier.jpg, images from the french ministery of foreign affairs are unfree according to Commons:Deletion requests/Template:FrenchMinistryOfForeignAffairs, is the permission ok? --Martin H. (talk) 22:15, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Yes; everything is all right. OTRS ticket does come from the Ministère des affaires étrangères. Pymouss Tchatcher - 22:33, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Wow, great! Is it restricted to this two images? Or is there a chance to obtain more images from Ministère des Affaires étrangères? --Martin H. (talk) 22:35, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Presently, the authorisation is only for these two pictures. But let's hope that there will have more free pictures in the future. --Pymouss Tchatcher - 22:40, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
done, thanks for your help! --Martin H. (talk) 16:58, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi, of course if reviewed the source: The source says: Leur reproduction est libre de droits sous réserve de la mention de leur origine "Service photographique du Premier ministre".. And what about derivative works? We already had Commons:Deletion requests/Template:FrenchMinistryOfForeignAffairs on this images, so the need a OTRS permission like File:Bernardkouchnerericchevallier.jpg. --Martin H. (talk) 14:20, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your explication : your first intervention was not clear. I restore {{no_permission}} on the picture. Cheers.--Bapti 17:24, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
done, thanks. I see you edit summary, it is much more helpful and clear, i will improve it in future for nonobviouse cases like this. --Martin H. (talk) 17:07, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

File:Bantustan Lebowa.jpg

Hi, that file comes from the "great migration" from es:. It was uploaded there from he:, so when I did the move here I put the original source, from he: indeed. It seems to have been deleted there, and I don't know why, only a sysop there could tell us the reason. Nevertheless I have no problem if that image is finally deleted. Re Authorship Comments

Thanks for the reminder. Indeed I suspect I've uploaded a number of images with improper data in my early Wikimedia Commons efforts. I've never found the instructions all that clear, but I think I'm batting pretty good now.--Mike Cline (talk) 14:22, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

File:Tokio Hotel collage.jpg

Hi Martin
I noticed you deleted File:Tokio Hotel collage.jpg with the comment "contains images identified as copyright violations". I take it that both pictures of the non-Kaulitz guys were copyvios since I don't find them at Tokio Hotel anymore?
Cheers, Amalthea (talk) 20:52, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Exactly, im very sorry. I already searched but did not find any good Tokio Hotel images somewhere to replace the loss. --Martin H. (talk) 20:53, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Advice on getting license correct

Martin, I am working on a WP article where much of the image material will be provided by another individual who is willing to release the work into the public domain. Since this will be contemporary material (1950s-present), I want to be sure and get the licensing correct. Please look at: File:TroutFliesMertonParksc1950.jpg and advise if this image was done correctly. The image is a composite of a catalog provided to me by Richard Parks, with his expressed permission to release into the public domain on the Commons. Richard is the son of the original author and owner of the material. Thanks--Mike Cline (talk) 15:32, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, just the kind of sound advice I needed--Mike Cline (talk) 15:45, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
done, you're welcome, --Martin H. (talk) 01:48, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

PD-Chile

I've seen that you deleted some images tagged as {{PD-Chile}} because you said they were copyrighted. Under the Chilean law, the pictures published before 1962 without an known author, belong to the public domain. In this case (according to what I remember from the pictures) they were published before 1962 (in fact, one of the pictures of Gabriel Gonzalez Videla was the official photo, released in 1948). So I hope you could restore them, at least to see the exact situation of the pictures. --B1mbo (talk) 20:50, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

done so far, restored the images but source is missing. Help is requested. --Martin H. (talk) 01:49, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Jonghap

Vieleicht lag ich also tatsächlich falsch?
--Martin H. (talk) 15:44, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Ich beobachte das weiter. --Martin H. (talk) 14:38, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

This catalogue

Dear Admin Martin,

If you have some free time in future, you may wish to examine the images in this catalogue I notice many of the failed flickr images here are licensed as 'All Rights reserved' or 'Non-Commercial CC.' It is strange that many uploaders don't know what this means. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 02:37, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the notification, its on (already) on my list. done, --Martin H. (talk) 14:36, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
The first has been here for 10 days already. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 19:34, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Not so easy: The fist has a "permission pending" note on the talkpage, the second is probably uploaded to Commons by the same person like on Flickr according to usernames. --Martin H. (talk) 06:27, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
OK. That makes sense. Thanks Martin H. --Leoboudv (talk) 06:40, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
