Man Arenas[edit]

I saw the message you left for Martin H on his talk page about the image that was deleted. I can't speak for Martin, but I can guess what happened: when you uploaded the image, you put the Flickr account as the source page rather than the specific page it came from. We have a bot that goes through and double-checks all Flickr uploads to make sure things are proper. Said bot is not smart enough to check further to see if the image is available on the subpage, so it simply slapped a note on the upload page saying "I can't find it there". And quite often people use Flickr as a means of putting copyright violations up on Commons, enough that the deletion process has "Flickrwashing" as one of the default reasons. I'd suggest reuploading the image and put the specific Flickr page it came from as the source. Better yet would be to use the Flickr upload bot to transfer the image, which will make sure the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed. Tabercil (talk) 16:55, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

No, what happend here is simply flickrwashing by uploader, talking of some third person "author who has released something" makes the sittuation even worser as it is exactly what flickrwashing describes: Inventing some third person to make somthing look clean. Thats your flickr account, if you have any relation to the company listed at http://dodecaden.com/Public/ forward a written permission to OTRS from that company email and dont hide behind such tricks. --Martin H. Files you uploaded may be deleted[edit]

The files listed below, which you uploaded, have been tagged {{OTRS pending}} for more than 30 days. This tag indicates that an email setting out permission to use the file was sent to the OTRS team. Unfortunately, we cannot find any record that such an email has been received, and accordingly the file remains without permission. Unless the OTRS team receives evidence that permission has been granted within 15 days of today's date, the file will be deleted. If you have already sent the permission, please re-send it to "permissions-commons@wikimedia.org" now. Please quote the file name in your email. At the same time, please leave a message at the OTRS noticeboard so that a volunteer can follow this up. Alternatively, you can contact an OTRS volunteer directly. Please note that this message is being left by an automated bot, whose operator is not an OTRS volunteer, therefore please do not send this information to me, as it will not save your images from deletion. Thanks for your time! Please help translate this message! HersfoldOTRSBot(talk/opt out) 01:03, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
