Piet Program Hello World(1).gif[edit]

On the description of this image, you wrote that « Thomas Schoch put it under CC-BY-SA », so obviously you are Thomas Schoch... ;)

Problem is that on http://www.retas.de/thomas/computer/programs/useless/piet/explain.html, there is a « Copyright © Thomas Schoch 2006 », so it would be great if you said somewhere on your website that this image is CC-BY-SA...

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

This picture, and possibly others, have been uploaded in your name. Could you please confirm that you took it and that you release it with the stated licence? Thanks in advance. --Eusebius (talk) 15:40, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the confirmation. The uploader has done that several times, with several (random) users. I just have to check before I delete... Regards, --Eusebius (talk) 09:31, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Dear Hidro, thanks for offering your assistance. Copyvios with this image are rather often, see [1] and [2] and [3] and [4] and [5], and so on. I think I have to shrug that. Shalom, --Mosmas (talk) 19:31, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

File:Dalit India.jpg[edit]

Please delete this file and upload it with a more neutral title. How do you know these are Dalits? The cast is nothing that you can just tell by outer appearance. The current file name gives exactly this impression, and I am probably correct when it is just based on your assumption, or did you interview these people? Hello Thomas Schoch, My name is Rita Neves. I work in Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, that is a Public Organism in Portugal. Actually, we are working on a road book of Biodiversity of Lisbon, for which we are going to produce a panel and a brochure. The brochure will have four brackets. - Broochura a pocket to take the route - A brochure to present the day of inauguration - Schedules for species identification - Panels that will be fixed in the Land

As i said the Free Access will be everything :)

Hello, Mosmas!

Tip: Add categories to your images

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

Uploadwizard-categories.png

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations"). Pro-tip: The CommonSense tool can help you find the best category for your image.

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Thanks for uploading File:Silk manufacture Myanmar 2.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with GFDL to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with PD-self to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the OTRS system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. (You can get a list of all your uploaded files using the Gallery tool.) Thank you.

Kinder in Delhi[edit]

Could you please delete this picture. This pic on the German Wikepedia site generalises the childer/kinder in India. There are better pics available. And not all children in India are like the picture says. Or is it thats you didnt meet anyother children in India??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Exofrog (talk • contribs) 2014-05-21 (UTC)

I don't agree. If you think the photo should be deleted, please post a Deletion request. If you think the German article should be modified, you can do the change or start a discussion here, I think English would be OK. Regards, --Mosmas (talk) 11:05, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

--Mosmas (talk) 14:11, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

( Bernd Gross)
