The image had been tagged as unlicensed, and when he added the PD-Self template he neglected to remove the {{No license since}}. Oversight on my part and I apologise (pass that on to him for me please). Mind you, when I read your note I was going to say "no reason to restore", "own work" without a license isn't acceptable after all...--Nilfanion 15:57, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I disagree on the own work, no license part. If own work is declared, the work is GFDL licensed, as the contents of the wiki are GFDL licensed, unless specified otherwise - I add GFDL-self if own work is declared and no license is added. Actually, that is an incorrect perspective. Text is under the GFDL - we agree to that every time we press the savepage button. However, image files do not have such a declaration. en.wikipedia created w:Template:GFDL-presumed for cases like you describe; which is now deprecated. Our version redirects to {{Fairuse}}.
