Picture improvement Mazda 121[edit]

Mazda 121 Utrecht 1989.jpg

Many thanks for improving the picture I uploaded a few years back. It looks much more natural than it did, and a much sunnier day than one usually gets in Utrecht. I'm not sure how far I am meant to feel permitted to retain some sort of pride ownership for "my" pictures having uploaded them to wikipedia, but I'm afraid I do. And it's pleasing on several levels when someone takes the times to improve a picture for which I still feel some responsibility! Regards Charles01 (talk) 13:49, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the message Charles. OSX II (talk) 00:52, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Move your files into proper categories, please[edit]

Please place your files into proper categories. Thank you. --hdamm (talk) 08:40, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

Yes please. I just tried to categorize the Pontiac vehicles uploaded by you. It is really much work to choose the correct category for all the cars. It would really be friendly if you could do this when you upload new photos. OnkelFordTaunus (talk) 21:34, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
I have thought about it but it didn't take long. Why have you uploaded dozens of not very good quality photos of cars we already have a surplus of images of! Its not just the cataloguing it is the nuisance value of those images even when catalogued or am I too fussy? Why do it? All sincere questions. Cheers, Eddaido (talk) 08:41, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
I batch upload sometimes 1000s of photos automatically from Flickr. I spend considerable time categorising many of them but I cannot do them all alone (in the past few months I have uploaded over 30,000 images). It's not really practical to pick and choose images to upload. I can either upload all of them and yes some will be of lower quality, or I could pick a few dozen every now and then. In the past when I have emailed Flickr users to re-license their work I have uploaded a few images, then when I would return later to upload more only to find that they either changed the licensing back to "copyright" or deleted the images off their account altogether. All I am doing is increasing the images stocks at Commons, and yes, it does means there is some work for other users when doing so. OSX II (talk) 03:54, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
