Hi. This image is PD, because the author died more than 100 years ago. It is used for the same reason as other images of Russian paintings, such as:

It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Честно, моё сердце кровью обливается, глядя, как ты качаешь дойчмарки с сайта бундесбанка с мизерным разрешением, а потом при том же количестве точек их увеличиваешь (изображение-то от этого лучше не становится). Национальные банки - обычно самое плохое качество изображения, что может быть. Там они специально делают такое изображение, чтоб никто ничего не разобрал. Издеваются. Можно просто поискать и найти хорошее состояние и разборчивый скан, к примеру, здесь: [1] (3 Германии); [2], 3 Германии - зеркало сайта; [3], Германия, WWII. В крайнем случае, больше времени займёт, поискать здесь: [4]. Я всегда гружу монеты и особенно банкноты с максимально возможным разрешением, чтобы хоть прочесть все надписи можно было.
