To add an image to a category, add the following code to the end of the page.

[[Category:Category Name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbit of comets, add the following to the image description page:

[[Category:Astronomy diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories: Astronomy diagrams, Comets.

For further information on categories read Commons:Categories.

The CommonSense Tool often helps you find the best category for your image.

Bonjour Pahlpwack,

Je vois que vous avez uploadé des photos de sculpture de Jacques Le Nantec. La façon dont vous avez décrit certaines images laisse à penser que vous en êtes l'auteur. Pour d'autres non.

Pour placer des photos de sculpture sous licence CC-BY-SA et GFDL, l'auteur de la photo doit donner son accord, ainsi que l'auteur de la sculpture (selon le pays où se trouve la sculpture). Pourriez-vous clarifier (par mail) la situation auprès de OTRS ?
