Hi,

the flower images I uploaded were from a CD which explicitly says "gemeinfrei" (public domain) on it. The license from the Bildtankstelle web site differs from that. For that reason, I did not upload any additional images from that site; PD only applies to the images from the CD. --Magnus Manske 21:25, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Have you any evidence, that stamps from Cambodia are PD?

I mean that.

If you have an evidence, please add it to Commons:Stamps/Public domain.

Else I recommend an deletion request.

By the way: Author=Greudin is wrong, the author is the painter. That Greudin scanned that stamp don't give him any copyright or something like that ...

Hello Michael,

If you look at the first version in the historic, you may see that the PD licence was giving by the User Greudin (he is the author of the scan - see source : own scan. He isn't the painter of course).

I've just add a description template and add this is a stamp fom Cambodia in the PD template.

I've asked in the village pump many weeks if someone have more information but nobody answered...

In fact, I've just add the beautiful template description : you should ask Greudin.

Hi. Found you in Category:User VG-3 and was wondering whether you could give me som help on what went wrong with Image:Lomma vapen.svg (SVG before being rendered by MediaWiki [1]). Codewise it's similar to Image:Falun vapen.svg which seems to render ok in MediaWiki. Any help is welcome. /Lokal_Profil 21:57, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Ok, excuses moi, je ne pensais pas mal faire. je ne contribue que peu sur Commons, je mets le lien sur les articles Wikipedia que je modifie et dans le cas de Fréjus, je me suis aperçu qu'une grande quantité de photos n'apparaissaient pas dans la catégorie Fréjus. Je vais essayer de prendre du temps pour affiner ou sous-catégoriser alors. Merci de ton avertissement, et à priori, des photos que tu as faite de cette ville. Hi. I noticed on http://openclipart.org/wiki/Completed_requests that you have some experience with the xrmap flag collection. I was wonderinge whether you would mind helping me create a template for the images from this collection. Currently these images are tagged in all kinds of ways and most importantly it's close to impossible for the average user to check whether the PD license is actually valid. many thanks Lokal_Profil 00:01, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

A couple of examples of images from xrmap flag collection and how they are tagged are here Image:Ulster banner .png, Image:El Salvador COA.svg, Flag of Saint Helena.svg (before last edit) and Image:Flag of Victoria (Australia).svg. In all of these cases it's next to impossible to find out if xrmap flag images are indeed PD (one has to find the ftp site and download the right archive and extract the README file). What I was thinking about is a template similar to Template:PD-OpenClipart for use with the xrmap flag collection images. Hope that explains it./Lokal_Profil 19:30, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
