[edit] RE:Public domain for Image:Seal Bangkok.png?

Since I found the Official Seal Law B.E. 2482 (พระราชบัญญัติเครื่องหมายราชการ พุทธศักราช 2482 - use this keyword to seek it in http://www.ratchakitcha.soc.go.th/) in Royal Thai Government Gazette, I think for this problem for a long time. If you think for the public domain of the seal of Bangkok, we should talk about other thai provincial seals because all of them the uploaders indentified them in public domain too. Would you mind if we talk for it in Thai wikipedia? My english is not quite well.

[edit] Commons:Deletion requests/Thai provincial seals

I am ready to close this debate and delete the images from the Commons, since they are no longer in the public domain. However you requested assistance in moving the images to Wikipedias that use them, and that allow non-free images. Does the Thai Wikipedia allow non-free images? Image copyright on the Thai Wikipedia is a somewhat sticky issue I try not to get involved in, but basically non-free images are allowed. The th:แม่แบบ:ชอบธรรม template is the broadest tag for such images.
The Check-Usage tool (accessible from the top of any image page on Commons) allows one to check what wikis an image is being used in. I was hoping that appropriate tools or bots may be available to help ease the process, but if you're up to uploading them manually, please do so; thank you. --Paul_012 (talk) 19:09, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
According to the 2007 Wikimedia Foundation licensing resolution, no Wikimedia project may use non-free images unless they are doing so under an "exemption doctrine policy" (EDP). I don't believe the Thai Wikipedia has implemented an EDP. Regardless, there are no tools available that I know of. I moved the images to the English Wikipedia manually, but I'm not willing to do so for any other projects without proof of an EDP allowing them. I'm going to delete them here -- others can copy them from the English Wikipedia if they wish. Quadell (talk) 21:52, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

พอดีไม่แน่ใจว่าถ้าโพสท์ไว้ที่โน่นจะเห็นหรือเปล่า แต่จะขอแนะนำเรื่องการอัพโหลดภาพให้เป็นไปตามแนวทางที่แนะนำใน commons:Commons:First steps โดยเฉพาะ commons:Commons:First steps/Quality and description ครับ ซึ่งสำหรับภาพที่เป็นภาพถ่าย ควรอัพโหลดในรูปแบบ jpeg และใช้ความละเอียดสูงที่สุดที่มีอยู่ครับ เท่าที่เห็นภาพที่คุณอัพโหลดไว้ส่วนใหญ่ภาพค่อนข้างเล็ก และผ่านการแก้ไขทำให้ metadata หายไป (ซึ่งแม้จะไม่มี guideline กำหนด แต่การรักษาข้อมูล EXIF ของภาพถ่ายก็มีประโยชน์หลายด้านครับ) นอกจากนี้อีกอย่างหนึ่ง ในรายละเอียดภาพ วันที่ที่ลงหมายถึงวันที่ถ่ายภาพ หรือวันที่สร้างสรรค์ผลงาน ไม่ใช่วันที่อัพโหลดนะครับ --Paul_012 (talk/พูดคุย) 21:00, 31 สิงหาคม 2551 (ICT)

ครับ ภาพขนาดใหญ่มักไม่เป็นปัญหาอะไรครับ เพราะ MediaWiki จะย่อภาพให้โดยอัตโนมัติเวลาใช้งาน ส่วนวันที่ถ้าไม่มีบันทึกวันถ่ายไว้ ก็น่าจะใช้วันอัพโหลดแทนได้ครับ (อาจจะวงเล็บบอกไว้ว่าเป็น upload date) ที่จริงไม่ทราบรายละเอียดเหมือนกัน แต่เข้าใจว่าการให้ข้อมูลวันถ่ายจะเป็นประโยชน์มากกว่า --Paul_012 (talk) 15:52, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

ถ้าไฟล์เป็นฟอร์แมตเดียวกันก็อัพโหลดทับไฟล์เดิมได้เลยครับ ที่วิกิพีเดียภาษาต่าง ๆ จะอัพเดทตามอัตโนมัติ ส่วนถ้าเป็น png แล้วอัพโหลดใหม่เป็น jpg ให้ใช้แม่แบบ

Hi Paul, I've seen that you're a native speaker of Thai and therefore maybe you can help me. I'd like to upload to commons the following picture: th:ภาพ:Surayut.JPG. Unfortunately, I can't read Thai so that I cannot find our the source of the picture neither its licensing information (as far as I've been able to understand, it is claimed to be in the public domain, but without a proper source, its impossible to assert that. It's being claimed to fall under Article 7 of the Thai Copyright Act, but I find that objectionable because the source is an official website, which should not fall under "Regulations, by-laws, notifications, orders, explanations and official correspondence of the Ministries, Departments or any other government or local units". --Paul_012 (talk) 12:40, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

On the map of Thailand,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Thailand, most of the provinces in the South are incorrectly labelled. No1 , for example, should be Chumphon, not Nakhon Sri Thammarat. Number 8 is Phuket, not Chumphon. fyi.
