RE: File:Blank_map_of_Europe_1914.svg/Bessarabia[edit]

Thanks for the heads-up. That map was created as a derivation of File:Blank map of Europe 1929-1938.svg, when of course Bessarabia was part of Romania, so I must've missed it when changing the borders. I'll fix it as soon as I get a spare minute. Alphathon /'æɫfə.θɒn/ (talk) 23:00, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

✓ Done. Turns out I'd also missed off part of southern Dobruja which they should have had (won in 1913). Alphathon /'æɫfə.θɒn/ (talk) 23:39, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
You're quite welcome! I was working on another map anyway so it was pretty good timing. If you find any other issues with it (or any other map I have uploaded for that matter) please don't hesitate to let me know.
By the way, there seems to have been an issue with your map too: the Baltic see was the same colour as the land. There was also a border in it and another next to Germany, so it looks like you may have accidentally moved Norway, Sweden and Finland down. I have fixed it for you (using data from an older version) but thought you should probably know (in case you need to make any revisions from your own version).

Thanks for the fix. I noticed that earlyer and thought that I fixed it, but obviously it sneaked in again on the official version. --Pechristener (talk) 00:10, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading File:RockyCreekBridge-california.jpeg to the Wikimedia Commons. I noticed that when you uploaded from another Wikimedia project, you left out some important information, or copied it incorrectly. In the future, please consider using CommonsHelper, a tool which automates the process of moving files over. Thank you,

Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 05:49, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Ok, this is just some template text. The real issue was that I forget to put a better description than the original file had. The upload was done without Commonshelper because the server was down.--Pechristener (talk) 06:04, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

Autopatrol given[edit]

Commons Autopatrolled.svg

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically sighted. This will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to help users watching Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones. Thank you. Hallo Pechristener

Usual flight path from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing[edit]

Hello. You added a curve on 23 March 2014 commenting „usual flight path instead of direct connetion (source: Flightradar24)“. However, I haven't found such information neither on Flightradar24 nor on FlightAware because there're not enough coverage over South China Sea and especially continental China. Moreover, the flight paths shown at and are significantly different from one flight to another. So I would like to get more exact source of your curve. Ain92 (talk) 12:40, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Hello Ain92. I added the curve since it seems to be more realistic than the direct connection between the two points which was before there. It is correct that the flight pass varies from flight to flight with weather etc. but I guess that the differences are smaller in reference to my curve thant two the line which was initially there.--Pechristener (talk) 09:29, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
Well, I totally agree about poor feasibility of straight ("as the crow flies") flight path, so I did't ask about the reason why you had added the curve. I asked about the sources which you used to plot it. Ain92 (talk) 15:07, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
I used the one on Flightradar24, but culd not see the variations you refer to.--Pechristener (talk) 18:58, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
OK, do you still have a raster image that you redrew to create the curve? Ain92 (talk) 18:30, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
No, I do not have it anymore.--Pechristener (talk) 18:55, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
