Awkward multi-lingual query

Hi!

Your name has been mentioned as a possible go-between here. The discussion relates to an image that appears to have been uploaded originally to ml-WP but I have no ability to converse directly in Malalayam and am unsure whether or not the uploader can converse in English. Hi, I notice that you have nominated a number of files for deletion as duplicates. But {{duplicate}} is only for deleting files that are exactly the same, not for different photos of the same item. Normally we keep all the different versions and let our users pick which one they would like to use. Just add the other versions to the "other_versions" field in the files information box. If one version is really bad/unusable then nominate it for deletion instead. --Tony Wills (talk) 12:09, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

{{Duplicate}} template itself denotes it as for "exact duplicate or scaled-down version". I found no reason to keep scaled-down, low quality versions here, which are uploaded by User:Sridhar1000 or his sock puppets while better quality images available.--Praveen:talk 17:04, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
