Cabás

Apreciado Raimundo: Debería haber puesto una nota en tu página de usuario comentándote los canvios. Mi fallo, lo siento. Borré las tres categorías por tres razones distintas:

- Una era "Bages", que es una comarca de Catalunya (no conozco ningún otro significado para esta palabra en catalán, castellano o inglés, pero podría estar equivocado); no veía qué relación podía tener con el artículo. Si querçias el plural de "Bag" es "Bags". Si fuera un cabás fabricado en el Bages, sería oportuna una pequeña explicación. Si es de la marca "Bages", no encaja en esta categoría, eminentemente geográfica.

- Otra categoría era "Medical family"; esta categoría no existe todavía, pero no acabo de ver qué relaciona el cabás con la "familia médica" y, en todo caso, hubiera sido más apropiada "Medicine" o "Physicians". Si pretendías entrar el artículo en la categoría "Medicina familiar" (sería más o menos "Family Medicine" en una traducción a ciegas), no he sabido encontrar ningún equivalente en inglés: supongo que todos los médicos ingleses son de familia a no ser que sean especialistas en algo concreto.

- La tercera categoría era "Primary care", una categoría con un único archivo. Creo que la entrada más aproximada sería "Public health", pero "Primary care" no parece un concepto de Commons.

Creo que la categoría que se adecuaría más a "cabás" sería "Medical equipment", pero no soy un especialista en medicina, y menos en inglés. No sé si te he podido ayudar; creo que ninguna de las tres categorías era aplicable al concepto "cabás", aunque podrías añadirle "Medical equipment" que creo que sería correctísima. Category:Medical bags

Apreciado Raimundo: Me he tomado la libertad de crear una categoria nueva que aocgiese los diversos maletines medicos que pululasen por Commons, y he puesto enlaces en :es y :en wikis. Saludos Jordi Roqué (Discussió/Talk) 19:13, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

La categoría "Medical bags" es una subcategoría de "Bags" y de "Medical equipment", por lo que la imagen del Cabás ya se encuentra a la vez en las tres categorías. La categoría "Medical bags" seguramente se podría encuadrar como subcategoría de "Family Medicine" y/o de "Primary Care"; el problema es que estas categorías no existen aun, y no se pueden poner categorías a un archivo sin crearlas (en este sentido, si las categorías fuesen equivalentes a los descriptores de las bases de datos o a los conceptos de materias de los catálogos de bibliotecas, podríamos ir agregandolas sin más dificultades). Al funcionar como un esquema clasificatorio en arbol (Personas > Profesionales > Médicos > Anestesiólogos), para crear una categoría nueva a) se ha de situar como subcategoría de una o de diversas categorías ya existentes y b) has de reclasificar los objetos previos que puedan entrar en esta nueva categoría.

Por ejemplo: cuando quise crear la categoría "Medical Bags" busqué si había otras imágenes parecidas y como las habían categorizado. Las que encontré estaban todas mal categorizadas, así que era una excelente razón para crear la nueva categoría (hubiera podido ser que la categoría ya existiera con un nombre que a mi no se me hubiera ocurrido como "Doctors's suitcases", "Surgeons bags", "General Practicioners' Aids" etc.). Busqué el nombre más apropiado para la nueva categoría -también me podría confundir en esto, pero se puede corregir si es necesario-. Pensé que las únicas categorías ya existentes donde encajaba eran "Bags" y "Medical equipment" (que a su turno es una subcategoría de "Medicine"); no vi claro -pero esto es enteramente opinable- que se pudiera poner como subcategoría de médico "Physician" (¿y los estetoscopios, y las camillas, y...?). Puse las imágenes encontradas en la nueva categoría.

Si, más adelante, alguién crea la categoría "Family Medicine" siguiendo pasos parecidos a los del parágrafo anterior, podrá decidir si cree que "Medical bags" debe ser también subcategoría de la nueva categoría.

Monuments

Hola Raimundo. Quería comentarte que las categorías del tipo "Monuments and memorials" se usan sobre todo para monumentos conmemorativos, pero no para monumentos en el sentido amplio. En mi opinión, ni todos los edificios no todas las iglesias pueden ser calificadas de monumento por lo que para Ciudad Real he recategorizado. Para los monumentos como los BIC existen las categorías del tipo "Cultural heritage monuments" que se han hecho por provincias, y en algunos casos por ciudades si hay muchos. Así, dejaría la categoría de Monuments in Ciudad Real para estatuas y monumentos conmemorativos. Saludos. --Millars (talk) 12:30, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Hola Raimundo. Dos cosas, sobre lo que te comenté de las categorías de Monuments and memorials, estaría bien categorizar los monumentos de una ciudad, error mío. Lo que he hecho es que la categoría de cultural heritage monument of XXX esté categorizada dentro de Monuments and memorials in XXX. Creo que con eso está solucionado. Ahora, y para que sea homogeneo con otros países, tenemos las categorías del tipo "cultural heritage monument" que son los bienes protegidos de cada país. Posteriormente están organizados por regiones y provincias, aunque seguramente habrá que subclasificar por tipo de protección. Cathedrals in Spain

Muchas gracias por your comments. I think it is great that cathedrals are organized by autonomous communities (?). However when I tried to look for all the cathedrals in Spain in Categories "Cathedrals in Spain", it contains a large number of cathedrals but not complete. Either it should be a complete listing or a listing that is completely broken down by categories. Gracias por el aviso, en realidad y aunque pueda parecer un error el escudo se llevaba inclinado respecto al mastil, lo puedes observar en la fuente [1]. No fue una bandera vertical, sujeta por la parte de arriba y más larga que ancha, como las que usan las cofradías por lo que la forma más correcta de representarla es ésta.
